Border apprehensions with Mexico were down 53% in the fiscal year ended September 30 from the previous three year period. This announcement came jointly from the Departments of Homeland Security and Defense. The statistics apparently are emboldening the White House to reduce the number of National Guard troops assigned to patrol the US border with Mexico, and instead increase drone surveillance from the air. The administration also recently announced that it would have unmanned border checkpoints run by a camera and a computer. This White House has been reluctant to protect the US border, and is now using its reluctance to increase use of spy technology.
That border apprehensions were down does not mean success in protecting the border. The question needs to be asked if they are down because there are less illegals crossing or is the stark reduction a result of a dismal lack of protecting the border as a matter of policy. The Pew Hispanic Center estimates there are some 11.2 million illegals in the US. The number of illegals in federal, state and local prisons and jails in 2010 totaled 351,000, and most of them were from Mexico. The Government Accountability Office estimates that 50% of illegals in federal prison were sentenced for immigration and drug offenses, 40% were convicted as a result of terrorism-related investigations.
The cost of the federal government's refusal to protect the border is astronomical. Housing illegals in jails and prisons costs over $1.5 billion annually. The cost of illegals for crime, health care, welfare is estimated by the federal government as $113 billion a year. Amazing that the same government that sold weapons to Mexico's drug lords wants to reduce border patrol in favor of spy drones. The AGAPE Movement of Wichita Falls, Tx., earlier this year submitted a plan to the president and members of Congress that would employ 70,000 veterans to guard the entire border with Mexico at a cost savings of $111.6 billion per year. So far, not a single policy-maker has embraced this common sense plan.
This government is using every opportunity it can to establish methods to spy on Americans under the auspices of "protecting" the citizenry. As troops are pulled out of terrorist hot spots such as Iraq and Afghanistan, and terrorists gain control of countries with White House assistance and approval, the American people are going to be further pressured to give up liberties for so-called government protection. Jesus warned us in Matthew 24:4, "Take heed that no man deceive you." A government that refuses to secure the borders while at the same time uses the threats it creates to take away liberty is a deceptive and evil beast arising from the sea of people who refuse to exercise their responsibility of citizenship.

White House handling of drone should raise questions
According to Iranian engineers, the American bat-wing RQ-170 Sentinel drone was captured by Iran through hacking its GPS system and landing it safely intact. Just how significant this event is will be played out as Iran ups the ante in its nuclear, technological, and military advances and as it ramps up its political rhetoric against Israel and the US. But there is a question that should be asked by the mainstream media, and it should be asked in the context of the US involvement in radicalizing Arab states surrounding Israel. Why didn't the man who occupies the Oval Office insist this drone be destroyed before the Iranians could dissect it?
He told reporters, "We have asked for it back. We'll see how the Iranians respond." DEBKAfile reports that the drone had a self destruct mechanism, but it was never used. The president, according to the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal and Fox News, weighed options to recover or destroy the drone, but was "concerned such a mission could be considered an act of war." This is all pretty weak considering what is at stake with Israel, Iran and the Middle East. Unless, of course, this White House wanted Iran to have the drone and all of its high tech spy technology. That would explain the drone being essentially handed over to Iran.
DEBKAfile asks in its special report: "The enigmas surrounding its capture continue to pile up. How did Iran know the drone had entered its airspace? How was it caused to land? Most of all, why did the craft's self-destruct mechanism which is programmed to activate automatically fail to work? And if it malfunctioned, why was it not activated by remote control?" DEBKAfile reports that the decision to not recover or destroy the drone was not missed by Israeli security officials, who have a lot at stake. Israel's perception is that the decision was "symptomatic of a wider decision to call off the covert war America has been conducting for some months against Iran's drive for a nuclear bomb." The State Department denies this.
DEBKAfile reported that a senior Israeli security official summed it up: "...when it comes to Iran and its nuclear program, the Obama administration and Israel have different objectives. On this issue, each country needs to go its own way." Given the support for radicalizing the Middle East, the US partnership with the terrorist sponsoring Muslim Brotherhood, and this weak response to protecting a top secret spy plane, one has to wonder what side this president is on. It's a legitimate question no matter what your politics. Ephesians 5: 6,7 says, "Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things comes the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. Be ye not therefore partakers with them." Ask the questions, act accordingly.

When marriage is replaced with homosexuality as government policy
We have told our children as they became young adults that there are two decisions that are more important than any other. One is for eternity, the other is for life. The first and foremost important decision is the one of accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. In John 3:16 Jesus says, "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." If you make any decision in life, the most life changing is this one because it lasts for eternity. The other most important decision is who you choose for your spouse. This decision will make you or break you here on earth.
Marriage is the social contract that is imperative to a healthy society. Family is society's core strength. When marriage, and subsequently family, are preserved, protected, nourished and encouraged, society will be healthy. The strength of America traditionally has been found in its families. But today, this revered institution is faltering. Pew Research has released poll data reflecting that only 51% of adults 18 years and older are married--a record low for America. The Washington Post reports that "In 1960, for example, when most baby boomers were children, 72 percent of all adults were married. The median age for brides was barely 20, and the grooms were just a couple of years older."
In 1963, Florida Congressman A. S. Herlong, Jr submitted for the Congressional Record the "Current Communist Goals" excerpted from "The Naked Communist," by Cleon Skousen. Goal 40 was: "Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce." Goals 25 and 26 were: "Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as "normal, natural, healthy." Goal 27: "Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with "social"religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity, which does not need a "religious crutch."
The Pew study indicates that Americans are choosing to live together rather than marry; The US State Department is using foreign aid to promote homosexuality. The federal government is no longer defending "The Defense of Marriage Act" in the courts. Divorce is easier than ever. Homosexuality is being promoted in public schools and the military--it is essentially official government policy. The socialists and Marxists in America have nearly succeeded in destroying our society--as planned as early as 1963 by the Communist Party. Ephesians 5:25 instructs: "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it." This is a sovereign spiritual principle for a healthy and happy society. Our decisions matter, make them well.

All-American antichrist
"All American Muslim" is a TV reality show that follows five Islamic families in Islam's hometown in America--Dearborn, Michigan. It's an Islamic propaganda show designed to convince Americans that Islamists are just normal people like you and me. Sponsors for the show are dropping because Americans are exercising their right to free speech and saying that its a bad place to buy ads. Lowe's decided to pull its advertising support of the program and is receiving huge criticism of it--I guess the activist Islamists in this country do not like the fact that it is a Constitutional right to "build something together" with someone else through the exercise of freedom of speech. It is good that Lowe's and others are doing such.
The American people need to understand and grasp the threat of Islam, no matter how mainstream and peaceful this religion appears in its current stage here in the United States. The Koran specifically instructs all believers to convert, bring into submission or kill Jews and Christians. It is easy to say that Muslims are peaceful here in the US and that Islam is harmless. I once cuddled a baby tiger. It, too, was pretty harmless as a baby, but when I saw it a year later, it was no longer cute and harmless. It was a threat. Islam is a threat to everything in our way of life. Recent homegrown terrorists have been Islamic, even though their names are given as American sounding--their changed names are Islamic.
The 1991 Muslim Brotherhood General Strategic Goal for North America says that every American Muslim must understand their role in the ""Civilization-Jihadist Process""...their work in America is a kind of a grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and "sabotaging" its miserable house..." The idea that "Islam and its Movement become a part of the homeland it lives in" is a key element in "settling" the United Sates. Dearborn, Michigan is the prototype of the Muslim Brotherhood plan. It has all the elements, and now even a reality television show attempting to mainstream Islam in America. This is the same Muslim Brotherhood our president is supporting.
The mere fact that the Council on American Islamic Relations and a slew of other so-called Islamic civil rights groups are crying foul over Lowe's pulling their ads speaks volumes. You see, Lowe's should be able to advertise wherever it wishes. If it decides that it doesn't want to advertise on a certain show, it has that right. Yet the Islamists are saying Lowe's does not have that right. It's just the way Islam is--the very modern supporter of fascism, slavery, terrorism, discrimination--all the things that liberal supporters of Islam say they hate. One other thing: 2 John 7 says, "For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist." What does that tell you?

What kind of Christianity do you share?
Hats off to Tim Tebow, quarterback of the Denver Broncos, who sparked his team to victory once again in an impossible situation. Late in the fourth quarter, he stayed calm, cool and collected and made an amazing touchdown pass and put his team into field goal position on the next drive. That was 10 points in the last two minutes eight seconds of the game to tie it up. The Broncos defense got the ball back in overtime and Tebow once again led them down the field and positioned his team for a game winning field goal. The sideline reporter said she was standing beside Tebow who was praying before the kick. He thanked his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ first before answering any post game questions.
Contrast this with the man who occupies the Oval Office who made a public display of attending church for the first time since Easter in April. He said, "For me and for millions of Americans, the story has filled our hearts and inspired our lives. It moves us to love one another, to help and serve those less fortunate, to forgive, to draw close to our families, to be grateful for all that has been given to us. To keep faith, and to hold on to an enduring hope in humanity. Service to others; compassion to all; treating others as we wish ourselves to be treated -- those values aren't just at the center of Christianity. Those are values that are shared by all faiths." All faiths, really? Is Christ God or just another good teacher?
With Tebow, its always been all out total focus on Jesus Christ who gave the gift of salvation to whom all praise is due. To the president, its always been about Jesus Christ the man who inspired our lives to service, compassion, and love for one another--values shared by all faiths. Tebow works out his faith by telling everyone at every opportunity how joyful he is to be saved by Christ, and by establishing a hospital in the Philippines for children who need surgery. The president works out his faith by lecturing everybody on Jesus being a great leader whose values are shared by all faiths and by promoting homosexuality, Islamic hegemony and allowing his administration to classify Christians like Tebow as right wing radicals.
I am thankful that the Lord is using Tim Tebow and the man in the White House to contrast a national debate about Christianity. There are many who call themselves Christians who will just delete this Jot or unsubscribe because they don't want to think about it or are offended about the contrast. But brothers and sisters, we need a national debate on who we are as a people. We need to determine where we stand. People can get mad all they want, but at some point we will face our Maker. Revelation 20:15 says, "And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." And Jesus said in Matthew 10:33, "But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven." Eternity is at stake. What kind of Christian are you and how are you working out your faith?

The man who occupies the Oval Office has disrespected the Jewish high holiday of Hanukkah by lighting all the candles on the menorah, having a Hanukkah party at the White House some 12 days early, and poking fun at the entire event by saying, "So while it is not yet Hanukkah, let's give thanks for our blessings, for being together to celebrate this wonderful holiday season. And we never need an excuse for a good party." There has never been a report where this president has mocked the Islamic holiday of Ramadan. In fact, he has always marked that holiday with serious respect for the false religion. As to Christianity, his record speaks for itself.
Investors.com reported that the president told a fundraiser last week in Manhattan, "This administration -- I try not to pat myself too much on the back -- but this administration has done more in terms of the security of the state of Israel than any previous administration." Sounding the alarm of preparedness
In the wake of the alarm over the passage of the Defense Authorization Act of 2012, the internet has been rife with opinions on how American citizens can be held in detention with their Constitutional right to a speedy and public trial or habeas corpus suspended. That a Congressional action can trump the supreme law of the land, the Constitution, remains to be seen, but if the Constitution is suspended for whatever reason, there would be no Bill of Rights, no law except the law of power. Now many stories are surfacing that the Federal Emergency Management Agency is working closely with defense contractors to ready camps across the United States. This appears to be real, but without confirmation of intent.
Speculation is that the federal government is preparing either for huge disasters--either manmade or natural--or for the event of martial law where American citizens are rounded up and interned in concentration camps. Certainly, when the dots are connected between various actions of the Feds, there is a pattern that could be construed as preparation for very dark days ahead. In December 2008, the Washington Post reported that Pentagon officials confirmed some 20,000 uniformed troops would be deployed by 2011 to help state and local officials respond to a domestic catastrophe. Many consider this a prelude to the suspension of civil rights, others say its preparation for inevitable terrorist attacks.
A Request for Proposal by defense contractor KBR revealed by Alex Jones' Infowars.com outlines a plan where the US is divided into five regions and seeks contractors to provide fencing, living quarters, potable water, bathroom facilities, catering and more for "camps" ranging in size "from 301 to 2,000 persons for up to 30 days." This RFP is undated, but was likely distributed in November. Given that this Administration has defined conservative religious citizens as radicals, and conservatives have been characterized as terrorists by Vice President Joe Biden and others, Christian citizens have good reason for concern. We need not fear, but we do need to control what we can control.
I wholeheartedly believe Jesus' words in Matthew 6:33, "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." He is talking about food, clothing, the essentials of survival. We should, however, prepare--spirit, mind and body through prayer and the Word of God. We should also educate ourselves. Ray Gano has written a handy and practical book entitled "Survive The Coming Storm--The Value Of A Preparedness Lifestyle" that every Christian should read. When the protections of government break down, we need to be salt and light to the world. Ray has provided practical ways to survive and to lead others to do the same in the hope of the Lord.

When Homosexual persecution trumps Christianity
Will the White House's new wide ranging foreign aid requirements that tie treatment of homosexuals to aid money help Christians? Probably not. In fact, it seems that the White House believes persecution of Christians is far less a problem than discrimination against homosexuals. So much so that the man who occupies the Oval Office has directed his foreign policy arms to use taxpayer money as a lever for better treatment of the lifestyle that God calls an "abomination." The bottom line is that the president has ordered his State Department and the Agency for International Development to use your tax money to assist homosexuals who are facing human rights violations in countries that receive US money.
He said, "The struggle to end discrimination against lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender persons is a global challenge, and one that is central to the United States' commitment to promoting human rights." Associated Press reports, "The White House said Tuesday's announcement marked the first US government strategy to combat human rights abuses against gays and lesbians abroad. The order also directs US government agencies to use foreign assistance to protect human rights and advance non-discrimination, and work with international organizations to fight discrimination against gays and lesbians." One has to wonder how this will work in the president's beloved Islamic states where homosexuals are put to death.
The hypocrisy here is amazing. This administration is in partnership with the Muslim Brotherhood. The Muslim Brotherhood has condoned the outright mass killing of Coptic Christians in Egypt. If it could find homosexuals in Egypt, it would allow the killing of them too because homosexuality is illegal under Sharia law. Saudi Arabia discriminates against Christians, as does every Islamic nation. There is no Christian church left in Afghanistan. Few Christian churches remain in Iraq. Iran kills Christians. China persecutes Christians. But this White House does and says only what is required to pay lip service and get a positive press hit once in a while regarding the harsh persecution of Christians in these countries.
Yet, America's tax money is now going to leverage the spread of homosexuality. One can bet that there will be no reduction in funds to so-called "democratic" Islamic states, even though Sharia is very clear about homosexuality. This administration consistently and openly defies the word of God by using the full weight of the US to promote evil. The Apostle Paul wrote in Romans 1:28, "And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not becoming." Verse 32 says, "Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them." What does this say about us who elect such?

The little known prophecy of Egypt and its helpers
America has taken a distinctive course from supporting Israel to legitimizing Islamism through democratic elections. While the stated US policy still remains supportive of Israel, America's actions have accelerated toward boosting the enemies of Israel in both stature and credibility. The most noticeable public action of this Administration's departure from traditional foreign policy was and is its support of the Muslim Brotherhood as exemplified in Egypt. The Muslim Brotherhood is the worldwide Islamic organization calling for a revived Caliphate and the establishment of global Sharia law. It is the father of many terrorist organizations and the uniter and cooperator of both Shia and Sunni sects of Islam.
It defies logic that this Administration would support an organization that is dedicated to establishing an antithetical system to that of the US Constitution. The Muslim Brotherhood has declared its intentions to take over America through a grand "Civilization Jihad" to destroy the US from within. Nevertheless, the US has assisted the Muslim Brotherhood in its takeover of Egypt. The Muslim Brotherhood is represented strongly by Huma Abedin, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's most trusted confidant and chief of staff. Abedin's mother and brother are among the leadership of the Muslim Brotherhood. Muslim Brotherhood operatives are scattered throughout this Administration.
Ezekiel 30 prophesies about the fate of Egypt and those who help it. The Lord tells us that Egypt will fall. The reason this prophecy in Chapter 30 is important is found in verse 3, "For the day is near, even the day of the Lord is near, a cloudy day; it shall be the time of the heathen." Verse 6 says, "Thus saith the Lord; They also that uphold Egypt shall fall." Verse 8 says, "And they shall know that I am the Lord, when I have set a fire in Egypt, and when all her helpers shall be destroyed." Throughout this chapter, the Lord says that he will strengthen the king of Babylon. Less than a generation after this prophecy, Cyrus completed the Persian conquest of Babylon and the Persian Empire solidified its rule.
We can learn from both the historic and future properties of prophesy. Persia ruled over Babylon. Currently, when the US withdraws from Iraq, Iran (formerly Persia) is poised to make yet another play on Babylon. Egypt has already fallen into the hands of the extreme Islamists thanks to US-assisted democratic elections. Ezekiel 30 speaks of a time when the day of the Lord is near. It prophesies that those who help Egypt will be destroyed. As we discern the very days in which we live, we must be vigilant to understand what our nation is doing and how it relates to even the most overlooked prophecy. There are tremendous prophetic warnings that our leaders are on a course toward destruction. People of God must stand.

The Prophetic Peace Plan--government vs God
There were three stories over the weekend that had prophetic significance to every American. One was the lighting of the Christmas tree at the White House, another was the election outcome in Egypt, and the other was a public showing of disdain for Israel by the Secretary of Defense. All were seemingly unrelated, but they serve as examples of a deeper problem in American foreign policy that has long reaching prophetic consequences. Neither the man who occupies the Oval Office nor his Administration understand who God is and the truth about God's people and God's ways. America, under this Administration, has taken a harsh turn that places our nation as an active prophetic tool of God's enemies.
In lighting the White House Christmas Tree, the president said, "More than 2,000 years ago, a child was born to two faithful travelers who could find rest only in a stable, among the cattle and the sheep. But this was not just any child. Christ's birth made the angels rejoice and attracted shepherds and kings from afar. He was a manifestation of God's love for us. And He grew up to become a leader with a servant's heart who taught us a message as simple as it is powerful: that we should love God, and love our neighbor as ourselves." The president has always missed the point about Jesus. He continues to characterize Jesus as a great leader and a servant who just taught us to treat one another well--it's the Islamic Jesus.
The express purpose of the Christ is found in Isaiah 9:6, "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The prince of Peace." Apart from Jesus Christ, there can be no peace. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta was reported by Reuters to have scolded Israel and told Israel to get back to the "damn" negotiating table with the Palestinians. This Administration misses the point entirely. Giving land to the so-called Palestinians, whose sole objective according to their organizations' charters is to drive the Jews into the sea, will never create peace.
There is a peace plan in place. It is found in nearly every prophet's book in the Bible, including Revelation. It's called The Day of the Lord, where Jesus Christ returns to earth to set things straight. And it is about land--the deed to the earth that only Christ himself is worthy to open as found in Revelation 5. No amount of land given to Palestinians will bring peace. Only the Prince of Peace will bring peace--not those posing as god via government. The third story about how the leaders of the West were surprised that radical Islamists were winning elections in Islamic lands shows us the foolishness of America's leaders in supporting Islamists--that they are tools of prophecy ushering in the end times, but doing so by standing with evil. Prepare for the consequences.

First fruits of Arab Spring and America's play in prophecy
The first fruits of the White House-generated democracy drive in the Middle East are in. The results of the election in Egypt were an astounding victory for the Muslim Brotherhood, the terrorist sponsoring, Sharia promoting foreign policy partner of the man who occupies the Oval Office. The initial count shows the Muslim Brotherhood taking 45% of the seats in Egypt's parliament and the even more radical Salafist Muslims taking another 20%. The Washington Post reports that "Tunisia and Morocco have both elected Islamist majorities to parliament, while Libya has yet to announce dates for its first elections, Islamist groups have emerged as a strong force there...they also play a strong opposition role in Yemen."
In short, the US president has engineered a radical Islamic takeover of much of the Middle East in league with sworn enemies of America--the Muslim Brotherhood and al Qaeda. As a result the world will become a much more dangerous place. There will be continuous heightened threat of war. Terrorism will increase. These organizations with which the president has aided and abetted, have sworn to create a "civilization jihad" in the US and to drive Israel into the sea. On November 25, for example, Ynet News reported speakers at a Muslim Brotherhood rally of 5,000 people in Cairo often repeated "one day we'll kill all the Jews," calling them "treacherous," vowing "jihad for the sake of Palestine."
Jesus, speaking of the false prophets in Matthew 7:15, 16 said, "Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. You shall know them by their fruits." The fruits of this president have been more unemployment, more debt, more promotion of homosexuality, more standing against traditional marriage, and now on the foreign policy side using your tax money and the full stature of America to give historical support to the enemies of God. This is likely the most significant foreign policy move since the establishment of Israel as a nation in 1948. These actions at this point in time could very well solidify the Islamic axis that will eventually usher in the antichrist.
Ezekiel 38 says Gog from the land of Magog, price of Meshech and Tubal will lead Persia, Ethiopia, Libya, Gomar, Togarmah against Israel. Verses 15 and 16 say, "And thou shalt come from thy place out of the north parts...as a cloud to cover the land." Magog, Meshech, Tubal, Gomar and Togarmah are all in the land directly North of Israel--what is now Turkey. Persia is modern day Iran. Ethiopia is Northeastern Africa, including Sudan. Libya is Northwestern Africa. All these are Islamic nations that come against Israel. Gog, according to many well respected Bible teachers, may be the antichrist. And America through its president's foreign policy has moved the prophecy clock forward. First fruits and food for thought.

Government sanctioned lawlessness and the Defense Authorization Act
Wednesday's Daily Jot about the National Defense Authorization Act of 2012 has fanned the embers burning in the hearts of many Americans. A lot of Americans just do not trust the Federal Government. So no matter what the language in the bill says, many Americans believe that the US government will be able to detain indefinitely US citizens if they are suspected of acting against the government. That may well be the case, but it would not be legal. There are countless examples where this particular government is breaking the law and nothing is being done about it--from not enforcing the Defense of Marriage Act to not allowing offshore drilling to selling guns to Mexican drug cartels.
With regard to detaining US Citizens, Go to Thomas Legislative (http://thomas.loc.gov/home/thomas.php) and type in National Defense Authorization Act 2012 then click on Subtitle D-Detainee Matters and read sections 1031 and 1032. As I read this, 1032 Section (b) is referring to 1031 paragraph (1) where it says that "the Armed Forces of the United States shall hold a person described in paragraph (2) ...in military custody pending disposition under the law of war." To my reading the key word here is "shall" which is a requirement under paragraph (1). This requirement defines the type of person that "shall" be held, essentially terrorists--al Qaeda and those working with them against the United States.
The clause exempting US citizens from detention under this law refers to the "requirement" that the Armed Forces SHALL hold a person. The exemption states: "The requirement to detain a person in military custody under this section does not extend to citizens of the United States." Notwithstanding, if this legislation intended to indefinitely detain US citizens, it would be in direct violation of Article 1 Section 9 of the US Constitution: "The Privilege of the Writ of Habeas Corpus shall not be suspended, unless when in Cases of Rebellion or Invasion the public Safety may require it." In 1866, the Supreme Court ruled that suspending habeas corpus was legal, but that military tribunals did not apply to citizens in states that had upheld Constitutional authority and where civilian courts were in operation.
Additionally, the Sixth Amendment guarantees the right to a speedy and public trial. Legally, this Defense bill cannot end run the Constitution. The government, however, can do whatever it wants until someone stops it as exemplified by the White House sealing court records of a US border patrol agent's murder with weapons sold to Mexican drug dealers through a government program. Ephesians 6:13 says, "Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand." We can complain and get all worked up about the possibilities, but standing is the only action that will make a difference. Until we figure out how to do that, lawlessness will abound.

The truth of the Defense Authorization Act
There is much being discussed on the internet regarding the Senate's 61-37 passage of the National Defense Authorization Act. The American Civil Liberties Union claims that the bill for the first time in US history allows the indefinite detention of American citizens by the US Military through defining the continental United States as part of the battleground in the war on terror. Citizens nationwide are flaming this news to every email list they have. The ACLU claims, like the bulk of the anti-American work conducted by this organization, are unfounded when one reads the straightforward language of the bill, only proving that the ACLU is consistent in its effort to treat terrorists with the same rights as citizens.
Section 1031 of the bill (the section ACLU is hollering "Fire" over) states: "Congress affirms that the authority of the President to use all necessary and appropriate force pursuant to the Authorization for Use of Military Force (Public Law 107-40) includes the authority for the Armed Forces of the United States to detain covered persons (as defined in subsection (b)) pending disposition under the law of war." In essence, the bill does extend the terror battlefield to the entirety of the United States. Common sense dictates, however, that the more undocumented aliens cross our borders, and the more Muslims we appease as part of our politically correct culture, the more America becomes a battlefield.
A covered person is: "(1) A person who planned, authorized, committed, or aided the terrorist attacks that occurred on September 11, 2001, or harbored those responsible for those attacks. (2) A person who was a part of or substantially supported al-Qaeda, the Taliban, or associated forces that are engaged in hostilities against the United States or its coalition partners, including any person who has committed a belligerent act or has directly supported such hostilities in aid of such enemy forces." Section 1032 then states: "The requirement to detain a person in military custody under this section does not extend to citizens of the United States."
Then section 1032 reiterates: "The requirement to detain a person in military custody under this section does not extend to a lawful resident alien of the United States on the basis of conduct taking place within the United States, except to the extent permitted by the Constitution of the United States." It is unconstitutional to hold an American citizen without charges and a speedy trial, and this bill does not seem to violate that right. This Congress and White House have, however, violated the trust of the American public to the extent that every action is deserving of great scrutiny. Jesus told us in Matthew 24:4, "Take heed that no man deceive you." It is good to question the deceivers' actions, but do so armed with knowledge and wisdom.

The prophetic implications of a Eurozone collapse
The London Financial Times is reporting that the eurozone has only days before it comes face to face with financial collapse. This event, if it occurs, should be watched very carefully by those discerning the times. The collapse of Europe's financial system is the throw-down of the earth's oldest remaining financial system. This reaches deep into the old money of the world. Financiers are trying their best to put a system in place to avoid a total collapse. Problem is, they are seeking to prop the current system with the same policies that caused it to fail in the first place--debt and debt financing. The potential collapse of the eurozone has long reaching impact, described by some as viral.
Beyond debt and debt financing through manipulation of unlimited bonds backed by the European Central Bank, another very interesting concept is being discussed--a fiscal union. Wolfgang Munchau of the Financial Times writes "This would involve a partial loss of national sovereignty, and the creation of a credible institutional framework to deal with fiscal policy, and hopefully wider economic policy issues as well. The eurozone needs a treasury, properly staffed, not ad hoc coordination by the European Council over coffee and desert." The key words in this report are a "partial loss of national sovereignty." This is the prophetic direction that Europe is taking and if it is indeed viral, this concept will spread.
It was revealed Monday that the Federal Reserve had secretly boosted banks in the US by far more than was reported. Bloomberg reports: "Add up guarantees and lending limits, and the Fed had committed $7.77 trillion as of March 2009 to rescuing the financial system, more than half the value of everything produced in the US that year." Bloomberg says that the Fed never disclosed the details of the bank bailout to Congress "even as Congress doled out more money and debated new rules aimed at preventing the next collapse." Now the American people are indebted to the government to the tune of $14 trillion, and both Europe and American politicians are demanding more debt to finance this debt.
When you look at the financial landscape, who has the money? China, you might say. But China is so very dependent on the US and Europe for its economy, same with Japan. Those who have the money are Islamic. Every nation mentioned in the Bible regarding the end time attacks on Israel are Islamic. First, there will be a "partial loss of national sovereignty" for the nations to accept and submit to the Revelation 13:17 scenario "that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name." World financial collapse, Islam arising, loss of sovereignty--seems the ingredients are there for the march of prophecy, in type and shadow or in reality. Watch and pray.

Prophetic implications of US Middle East policies
The Middle East was a big ticket item in the 1980 presidential election between incumbent Jimmy Carter and challenger Ronald Reagan. Carter had overseen, even encouraged in the name of "democracy," the overthrow and deposing of the Shah of Iran, one of the staunchest non-Jewish US allies in the region. The Islamists under Ayatollah Khemeni stormed the American Embassy and took it and its people hostage. This, and Carter's growing friendship with terrorist Yassir Arafat, leader of the Soviet-backed Palestinian Liberation Organization, ushered in the modern era of Islamic terrorism. Yet, Carter won a 2002 Nobel Peace Prize for his misguided policies in advancing peace, democracy and human rights.
Some 30 years later, radicalization of the Middle East continues with America's help. The man who occupies the Oval Office has repeated history on a much grander scale. The current administration has publicly partnered with known terrorist sponsor, the Muslim Brotherhood, and at times America's enemy of the decade, al Qaeda, to overthrow governments in the Middle East in the name of "democracy." Now the entire Middle East from Libya to Egypt to Tunisia to Yemen to Morocco to Syria to Pakistan is afire with vehement infighting and revolution. The most common outcome is the positioning of anti-Israel, anti-American Islamic Sharia Law governments rising to power.
This, coupled with the actions of the previous Bush Administration in Iraq, Afghanistan and in Israel (by forcing the evacuation of Israeli settlers from Gaza and democratic elections where terrorist were legitimately voted into power) has made the world a much more dangerous place, but has also advanced prophetic fulfillment. The foreign policy objectives of the past two White Houses has resulted in the elevation of Islamic radicals to positions of power throughout the Middle East. Meantime, there has been nothing greater than lip service and useless sanctions put in place to stop the Russian-China-North Korea axis from assisting Iran in obtaining nuclear weapons and the missile systems to deliver them.
The signs of the time, in the very least, point to a type and shadow of the Day of the Lord, if not the real thing. Isaiah 14:1 speaks of the Lord having "mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land." Isaiah 17:1 prophesies "Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap." As Iran is assisted in its radicalization efforts directly or indirectly by US policies, end time prophecies continue to align. Directly North is Turkey, which has become more Islamic and less secular. It was the last capital of both the Roman Empire, and the Ottoman Empire Caliphate which ruled much of the same territory as Rome until the 1920s. Be watchful that you are not deceived.

White House expresses national condition--giving thanks to state and community
I am sitting here this morning having a cup of recycled coffee, a companion to yesterday's pumpkin pie. I usually peruse the news headlines and pray over what the Lord would have me write. I really didn't want to write about the man who occupies the Oval Office, but then Reuters was reporting his Thanksgiving address. So I went to the White House briefing room website to confirm what I read. It starts: "From my family to yours, I'd like to wish you a happy Thanksgiving. Like millions of Americans, Michelle, Malia, Sasha and I will spend the day eating great food, watching a little football, and reflecting on how truly lucky we truly are." After several readings, my coffee went cold.
"How lucky we truly are"? Really? This man claims to be Christian yet he speaks of Thanksgiving as if life is a big human secularist gamble. But it gets worse from there. His account of the first Thanksgiving is a complete misrepresentation of history and heart, but a total representation of his own heart. He said, "The very first Thanksgiving was a celebration of community during a time of great hardship, and we have followed that example ever since." Nothing could be further from the truth. The very first Thanksgiving was a celebration of the blessings of the one true God in the name of Jesus Christ, who brought these valiant men and women through a time of great suffering. They gave thanks to God not community.
He continues the theme in saying that "Americans from all walks of life are coming together as one people, grateful for the blessings of family, community, and country. If we keep that spirit alive, if we support each other, and look out for each other, and remember that we're all in this together, then I know that we too will overcome the challenges of our time." Don't be fooled by these smooth and emotional words. They are the words of a man who is glorifying humanism and statism (central control of the people) over the blessings of God himself. Throughout his address, he speaks of blessings and being thankful, but to who? Some innocuous spirit of community? Is this what Thanksgiving is all about?
A resounding "NO." But it is a good part of the reason why our nation is in the condition it is in--that our leaders have no moral bearing. Our nation is in decline because our people have chosen godless leaders who hold statism and humanism in the highest regard to their actions. Jesus said in Matthew 7:20, 21, "Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. Not every one that says unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of my Father which is in heaven." We need to wake up as a nation and as a people, starting with God's people, because I do not wish to hear my Savior say to any, "I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity."

The troubling implications of Jose Pimentel's arrest
The arrest of Jose Pimentel says a lot about the war on terror, homeland security, the news media, and the Islamic threat to America. Pimentel is a 27 year old man who New York police arrested on charges of plotting to build bombs to kill American soldiers returning from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as post offices, police cars and other facilities. He is a naturalized US citizen born in the Dominican Republic. In most news stories from major media, the fact that Pimentel is a converted Muslim is buried or never revealed. But Pimentel's post-conversion name is Muhammad Yusuf--which was not reported by mainstream US media, but rather by the UK Telegraph and the UK Independent.
There is more to the story. The FBI and Homeland Security didn't see Yusuf as a threat and declined to take on the case, according to the New York Police Department. NYPD, however, persisted that Yusuf was worth watching. Yusuf was a follower of al Qaeda terrorist mastermind Anwar al-Awlaki, who the US disposed of via a September drone attack in Yemen. Yusuf was inspired by al Qaeda's online magazine "Inspire" to use an article's instructions to build a bomb in your mother's kitchen. And that's exactly what he is charged with as he was living with his mother and proceeded to build a bomb from materials that he purchased from Home Depot.
Interesting that Yusuf's mother Carmen Sosa told reporters that she was shocked and saddened by what her son is alleged to have done. She said, "I would like to apologize about this, I mean I didn't raise my son that way. I feel very bad about this. I always loved New York the way it is. I also want to say thank you to the police. I think they handled it well." She said her son was raised Catholic but became interested in Islam shortly after the September 11 attacks. The mother said that she was "very disappointed with what my son was doing." She said she never saw him with bomb-making materials and that most of the time, "He was very calm. He was praying to Allah, reading the Quran."
Throughout the Bible there are examples of what happens when the people of a country turn away from God. As a nation, the United States has reversed its longstanding and traditional reverence of God to become revelers of humanism and false gods. The Lord said of Babylon in Jeremiah 51:14, "Surely I will fill thee with men, as with locusts, and they shall lift up a battle cry against thee." The US today looks a lot like the Babylon of yesteryears--so much so that the FBI and Homeland Security do not see people like Yusuf a threat--so much so that the mainstream news media ignores the very reason this Islamic convert did what he did--reading the Quran and the hate filled propaganda its followers produce.

How the fabric of prophecy is woven into a garment of destruction
Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak told CNN that the "time has come" to deal with Iran. Referencing the United Nations report indicating Iran was developing nuclear technology with the intent to weaponize it, Barak said, "People understand now that Iran is determined to reach nuclear weapons...and that should be stopped." Meanwhile, Iran launched an air defense drill that, according to the Islamic Republic News Agency, will use "missile systems, advanced anti-aircraft artillery and various radar systems, as well as "tactical maneuvers aimed at increasing the level of preparedness amid possible threats to the Islamic homeland's airspace, particularly with regards to the country's...nuclear centers.""
Iran's vassal state nearest to Israel, Syria, is experiencing domestic unrest, but both Iran and Russia are working to shore up dictator-president Bashar Assad's grip on the nation. The Syrian News Agency reports that Russian warships will arrive near Syria later this week. This sends a signal to the West that Russia will have a hand in preventing any foreign involvement in the Syrian unrest. AP reports that the terrorist group Hezbollah has compromised CIA and Israeli intelligence in Lebanon. AP claims that Iran has invested up to $200 million in breaking the CIA infiltration of Hezbollah. Hezbollah, Hamas, the Muslim Brotherhood, Islamic Jihad and Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade are inextricably linked.
In July, Hezbollah, Hamas, and the Muslim Brotherhood held a two-day conference in Egypt to "Support the Option of Resistance." Resistance is the code word for terrorism among the Islamists. The Meir Amit Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center reported that delegates from 14 countries attended. Among them were Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Turkey, Iran, Indonesia, Morocco, Sudan and Jordan. The Muslim Brotherhood's goal was to unite Shia and Sunni Islamists against Israel and the United States. The man who occupies the Oval Office and his administration have embraced the Muslim Brotherhood as a foreign policy partner in the Middle East.
The Middle East cauldron is about to boil over. When it does, there will be revealed the true alliances of the end times. We are facing a critical point because the US is playing both sides--Israeli and Islamic--as never before in the brief history of this nation. It is important because of America's global leadership position and its traditional standing in the breech for Israel. The end time prophecies concerning Jerusalem, including Zechariah 12:3 where "all the people of the earth be gathered together against it" are weaving together on the loom of destruction. America has allowed this prophetic fabric to strengthen by partnering with the antichrist Islamists. If America dons this garment, more woes will come.

Of rebellion and obedience--why OWS is wrong
"The police are not honoring any rule of law at all" by barricading off streets in Manhattan to contain the Occupy Wall Street protests on Thursday morning, according to a cameraman who is filming the live webcam of the Occupy Wall Street protests. Shouting "All day all week, Occupy Wall Street", hundreds of anarchists moved into the streets. Some were chanting, "turn over that car," others chanted "We got sold out." Someone said, "its like being in Egypt." Then there were chants, "Occupy is under attack, what do we do? Stand up and fight back." With that, they tried to move the police barricade as they moved toward the New York Stock Exchange. This is the scene early Thursday in New York.
People who were trying to get to work were harassed by the protesters, saying, "C'mon rebel with us" as they moved to block intersections near the stock exchange. This movement, which is distinctly advocating the end of capitalism, called for November 17 to be a global day of action of solidarity. One group within the OWS movement is called "Global Revolution." The OWS website says that this is the first global protest movement in modern history, saying, "People around the world...have opened their eyes together to the decadence and injustice of the common system that exploits us...We will not stop moving forward until bankers and governments are held accountable for their crimes."
Some of what the OWS movement has to say bears heed. Our Founding Fathers in America believed that the system of market and government they developed could only survive with a moral and religious people. The lack of ethics by some corporate leaders, the corruption in government, the exploitation of people have given many a reason to take to the streets. But here is the issue: Socialism, communism, class warfare will not cure the problem, it will only change the faces of corruption and greed. These OWS people, supported by the man who occupies the Oval Office, have a secular humanist agenda. Many a well-intentioned people will fall prey to those who are truly in control of this "rebellion."
There is an old saying that the path to hell is paved with good intentions. As the Apostle Paul wrote in 2 Timothy 3:1, "This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come." Then he lists all things that men shall be. Verses 8 and 9 say, "Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was." The folly here is that the answer well-intended people seek is found only in Christ. It is in Christ, not in rebellion, that they would know the right thing. Greed and corruption are not stopped by economic and political systems, but only by obedience to God.
