The prophetic truth of the birth certificate issue
Sometime before the last Presidential election, I was interviewing with a premier conservative media outlet for the position of investigative reporter. Two icons of the conservative/Republican think tank and media were conversing with me about what I thought were the important issues of the time. One that I brought up caught their attention, but not in a way that I expected. I said that there was a question whether the Democratic frontrunner was eligible to be president. Raising their eyebrows in surprise, one looked at the other, and asked what I meant by that. I explained what I had researched at the time about the lack of a verifiable birth certificate.
The interview was going well up to that point. And it was there that I lost out. The more I answered their pointed questions, the more I realized that there was a unification within the conservative circles in Washington, DC against pursuing the eligibility requirement of the presidency. They tried to pass it off as rumor. When I spoke of straightforward documentation, they passed that off as not credible. When I spoke of reliable sources in Kenya who visited villages and gathered information, they said it was chasing after rainbows. It was clear that by the end of the interview, I not only would not get the job, but that the conservative elite inside the beltway were never going to pursue the birth certificate issue.
A Democrat did pursue it. Hawaii gubernatorial candidate Neil Abercrombie promised that if elected, he would find the president's birth certificate. He said it was a personal issue to prove all the naysayers wrong. He was elected and he tried to follow up on his promise. At first, he said he was there when the now-president was born. Then he retracted. Then he said he could not find the birth certificate, Then he retracted. Then he said that there was a document, but it wasn't a traditional birth certificate, but some sort of long form. Then he retracted. Now he is saying that he is giving up his efforts to produce the birth certificate because its against the state law to release private documents without consent.
Many well known conservatives have joined the chorus that questioning the birth certificate is a "right wing" conspiracy. I agree that it is a conspiracy--but between all the elites irrespective of party. They are hiding something or getting at something even more strategic such as a democracy election precedent, rather than a republican election. They are subverting the Constitutional mandate for sake of democracy. This plays into the hands of the one world order. Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes unto the Father but by me." There is only one savior--its Jesus Christ. And until He is manifest in the hearts of our leaders, there will be no truth, irrespective of party affiliation.

The altar call that stirred the world
Robert Bentley is a 67 year old deacon and Sunday School teacher at First Baptist Church of Tuscaloosa. On Monday at a Baptist Church in Montgomery, Alabama, Bentley told the congregation, "So anybody here today who has not accepted Jesus Christ as their savior, I'm telling you, you're not my brother and you're not my sister, and I want to be your brother." These remarks set off a firestorm of criticism by the ACLU, by politicians, by Jewish leaders, by Islamic leaders and by non-Christians. People say they were insulted, offended and immediate calls were made for Bentley to step down. Bentley made his remarks to a church gathering after being sworn in as governor of Alabama. He later apologized.
Bentley was only saying that you are not his brother or sister in the Lord unless you are a Christian. The second part of what he said was that he wants you to be his brother. This remark is in line with Christian love and charity as Peter said in 2 Peter 3:9 that the Lord is "not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." 2 Thessalonians 2:10 says that those perish "because they receive not the love of the truth, that they might be saved." At 67, Bentley doesn't have to be governor of Alabama. He has seen and accomplished much. But he is just telling the truth to a congregation, giving what amounts to an altar call to stir the heart of man. It was met with hatred and offense.
Today, our Founding Fathers would be run out of the country. Here is what just a handful of them said about Christianity and our country (and their remarks were not to church bodies): Patrick Henry: "It cannot be emphasized too clearly and too often that this nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religion, but on the gospel of Jesus Christ. For this very reason, peoples of other faiths have been afforded asylum, prosperity, and freedom of worship here [May 1765 Speech to the House of Burgesses]." George Washington to his troops at Valley Forge in 1778: "To the distinguished character of patriot, it should be our highest glory to add the more distinguished character of Christian."
Noah Webster: "In my view, the Christian religion is the most important and one of the first things in which all children, under a free government ought to be instructed...No truth is more evident to my mind than that the Christian religion must be the basis of any government intended to secure the rights and privileges of a free people [1828, in the preface to his American Dictionary of the English Language]."...Peter says in 2 Peter 2:12, "But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption." With all the talk of civility lately it sure didn't last long when the call to Christianity is sounded. Bentley is not the one who should apologize.

Prophetic Warning--US gives PLO permission to fly flag in Washington
The United States and Russia have taken historic steps to recognize a Palestinian state within pre-1967 borders without the cooperation of Israel. These actions, along with seven South American countries recently recognizing "Palestine," represents an incredible shift in worldwide pressure on Israel to give up its land to Palestinian terrorists under the false pretense that the two will live in peace. It also represents a historic change in policy by the United States to throw its lot in with traditional enemies of Israel in deference to supporting the only free democracy in the Middle East. The days, weeks and months ahead will most certainly define the prophetic direction of America under the current pro-Palestinian regime.
Associated Press reports that the White House gave permission to the terrorist Palestinian Liberation Organization to officially hoist its flag over its Washington, DC mission building. On Wednesday, the PLO flag was raised over the mission for the first time in history. The PLO is the terrorist organization from which the Palestinian Authority emerged. The PLO has been dedicated to the destruction of Israel since its inception. PLO Mission Chief Maen Areikat told AP that the gesture "means that the administration is serious, that they want to see the struggle of the Palestinian people concluded and the establishment of a Palestinian state."
Israel Today reported on Wednesday that America and Russia implicitly recognized a Palestinian state. It said Russian President Dimitry Medvedev, noting that Russia already recognized a Palestinian state when Yasser Arafat first declared independence in 1988, said at a news conference in Jericho, "We have supported the establishment of an independent state with east Jerusalem as its capital since the last century, and we still support it." Hours after Medvedev's declaration, the White House gave permission for the PLO to raise its flag over its mission in Washington. The conclusion can be drawn that Russia and the United States are working in unison against Israel.
The PLO long has been supported by the communist-based Soviet Union, communist China and other anti-Israel nation-states. The United States long has stood its ground in not being swayed by the anti-Israel communists, until the past two Administrations. This departure from longstanding US policy has been accelerated by this White House, a president who has indisputable deep-rooted ties with socialists and communists. From a prophetic standpoint, the United States is in great jeopardy, and every citizen could be impacted. In Zechariah 12:9 the LORD says, "And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem." The warning can not be clearer.

Prophecy in Action: America courting enemies of Israel has severe consequences
Strange that the nations the United States is courting to be allies and trading partners, has given billions of taxpayer money for foreign aid, and has allowed to take America's textile, oil and other manufacturing jobs, are considered countries that do not respect civil liberties and are enemies of Israel. Washington-based watchdog group, Freedom House, says in its annual "Freedom in the World 2011" report that global freedom has declined for the fifth straight year. China, whose leader is getting a red carpet welcome at the White House, owns nearly a trillion dollars of America's debt, supplies America with products built by slave labor, and is an enemy of Israel, is considered an oppressive country.
In Muslim countries freedom has continued to decline since these reports were first issued in 1972. The report says, "Muslim-majority countries have failed to make significant progress over the past decade. Only two are ranked as Free, with 19 Partly Free and 26 Not Free." Saudi Arabia, considered one of America's strongest Islamic allies, is rated among the worst in the world, as is China. In recent days, Lebanon, another Islamic country courted by the United States, has undergone an essential terrorist takeover as Hezbollah has dissolved the government because it is on the verge of being condemned by the United Nations for assassinating Lebanon's Prime Minister.
The report says, "Israel remains the only country in the region to rank as Free and qualify as an electoral democracy. While there was relatively little violence between Israel and the Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza during the year, there were a series of conflicts over security, land, and human rights. Some Israelis have become concerned about the role of NGOs that criticize Israeli policies in the Palestinian territories and often receive funding from foreign donors. Legislation to compel NGOs to publicize details of any foreign funding has been presented in the Knesset drawing considerable opposition from democracy and human rights advocates."
The only free state in the Middle East is Israel and Israel's attempts to undermine organizations threatening Israel's freedom are met with "considerable opposition from democracy and human rights advocates." For example, America has given billions to the Palestinian Authority. The LORD says of Israel in Genesis 12:3, "I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curses thee, and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed." Many argue that today's Israel is not the Biblical Israel, but look at the prophecy, and look at America's support of the enemies of Israel and, quite frankly the enemies of freedom, civil rights and mankind. Then consider the condition of our nation.

The Emergent Church and Homosexuality--rewriting Scripture to justify sin
Cathleen Falsani, Religion Columnist, recently wrote an article claiming that Evangelical Christianity is having a "Great Gay Awakening." Falsani, you may remember, is the woman who interviewed the current president about his religious viewpoints, and as we all found out through her reporting that the president believes there are many ways to heaven. Falsani, in writing for the Huffington Post, is now saying that what she was taught for most of her life--"that it's impossible to be both openly gay and authentically Christian"--is wrong. In fact, she quotes leaders of the current Emergent Church movement as saying that the Bible was misquoted and that being homosexual is not a sin.
Its this kind of logic that is at the root of deception in the Church these days. Its the misquoting of scripture. I was recently in a church service, for example, where a person said that the Bible tells us "that even the elect shall be led astray." This person was making a very good point that we should not just take for fact everything that a preacher says and that we should check it against scripture. Problem is this person's use of scripture was also misquoting the Bible where Jesus said in Matthew 24:24, "For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect." That's a lot different than the elect shall be led astray.
It all starts with something innocuous and leads to things like man rewriting the Bible to fit the social morals of the day. Falsani says that the Old Testament prohibits interracial marriage, endorses slavery, forbids women to wear trousers, calls for brides who are not virgins to be stoned to death, and adulterers to be executed. So, she concludes, after quoting heretics like Brian McLaren and Tony Jones--leaders of the Emergent Church--that homosexuality is not a sin. They say that the word homosexual is not used in the Bible. My King James version doesn't use the word homosexual, but in both the Old Testament and the New, it says that sexual relations between men with men and women with women is sin.
People are told in the Bible how to treat slaves, but clearly Exodus is a condemnation of slavery. There were reasons why God did not want the Jews marrying outside their race. There were reasons for the things in the Old Testament that we see today as strange. We need to accept them, not try to use them to justify sin. Sin is still sin. Homosexuality, whether the word exists in the Bible or not, is still, as Leviticus 18:22 puts it, "abomination." Just so the Emergent Church heretics understand--its also a sin in the New Testament, as Romans 1:32 says "such things are worthy of death." It is good that Christ gave us a commandment that may save them from eternal fire--love. If you love someone, you will help them see the true Christ that gives everlasting life.

Free speech, big government, and the yoke of bondage
If you work for the government, do you give up your right to free speech? Apparently so. Jacob Volkmann can tell you all about it. Volkmann is an Ultimate Fighting Championship fighter who also works part time as a wrestling coach for the White Bear Lake High School in Minnesota. He is now on paid administrative leave pending the investigation of his "fighting words" with the man who occupies the Oval Office as his target. According to Fox News, the communications director of the school district confirmed that an employee of the school district is on leave and is being investigated "in accordance with the law."
Volkmann, according to Fox News, answered a reporter's question about who he would like to fight next after winning a fight on New Year's Day. Volkmann said he would like to fight the president, saying, "He's not too bright. Someone's got to knock some sense into that idiot." In a later interview on the MMA Hour, Volkmann said, "The only regret I have is calling him an idiot. I don't think he's an idiot, but I do think he's making a lot of mistakes." Volkmann is also a chiropractor and he believes the president's health care overhaul is bad for business. But Volkmann said his comments were "tongue-in-cheek" and he had no intention of fighting the president.
Nevertheless, the Secret Service got wind of Volkmann's remarks and paid him a visit for threatening the president. Fox reports that Volkmann was not arrested and he was not charged, but on Monday he was told to report to the school district's human resources department. After a half-hour interview, he said he was put on paid administrative leave. Volkmann said several parents had called to complain that he was wearing a school shirt and a hat during one of his interviews. Volkmann said, "I think it's kind of ridiculous that the school is pretty much saying you can't voice your opinion and if you do voice your opinion you definitely can't voice it against the policies of the president."
That the Secret Service would waste taxpayers money to "investigate" someone who was obviously not a threat is one thing. That citizens of this country would turn in someone for making what were obviously not threatening comments is even worse. The public schools, which by law are supposed to be run locally, have become instruments of the leftist ilk of big government. Its all about freedom. Man's freedom is according to man's whims. God's freedom is based on righteousness. Galatians 5:1 says, "Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ has made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage." That "yoke" is spiritually readied for all who would engage it.
