The truth of the Defense Authorization Act
There is much being discussed on the internet regarding the Senate's 61-37 passage of the National Defense Authorization Act. The American Civil Liberties Union claims that the bill for the first time in US history allows the indefinite detention of American citizens by the US Military through defining the continental United States as part of the battleground in the war on terror. Citizens nationwide are flaming this news to every email list they have. The ACLU claims, like the bulk of the anti-American work conducted by this organization, are unfounded when one reads the straightforward language of the bill, only proving that the ACLU is consistent in its effort to treat terrorists with the same rights as citizens.
Section 1031 of the bill (the section ACLU is hollering "Fire" over) states: "Congress affirms that the authority of the President to use all necessary and appropriate force pursuant to the Authorization for Use of Military Force (Public Law 107-40) includes the authority for the Armed Forces of the United States to detain covered persons (as defined in subsection (b)) pending disposition under the law of war." In essence, the bill does extend the terror battlefield to the entirety of the United States. Common sense dictates, however, that the more undocumented aliens cross our borders, and the more Muslims we appease as part of our politically correct culture, the more America becomes a battlefield.
A covered person is: "(1) A person who planned, authorized, committed, or aided the terrorist attacks that occurred on September 11, 2001, or harbored those responsible for those attacks. (2) A person who was a part of or substantially supported al-Qaeda, the Taliban, or associated forces that are engaged in hostilities against the United States or its coalition partners, including any person who has committed a belligerent act or has directly supported such hostilities in aid of such enemy forces." Section 1032 then states: "The requirement to detain a person in military custody under this section does not extend to citizens of the United States."
Then section 1032 reiterates: "The requirement to detain a person in military custody under this section does not extend to a lawful resident alien of the United States on the basis of conduct taking place within the United States, except to the extent permitted by the Constitution of the United States." It is unconstitutional to hold an American citizen without charges and a speedy trial, and this bill does not seem to violate that right. This Congress and White House have, however, violated the trust of the American public to the extent that every action is deserving of great scrutiny. Jesus told us in Matthew 24:4, "Take heed that no man deceive you." It is good to question the deceivers' actions, but do so armed with knowledge and wisdom.

The prophetic implications of a Eurozone collapse
The London Financial Times is reporting that the eurozone has only days before it comes face to face with financial collapse. This event, if it occurs, should be watched very carefully by those discerning the times. The collapse of Europe's financial system is the throw-down of the earth's oldest remaining financial system. This reaches deep into the old money of the world. Financiers are trying their best to put a system in place to avoid a total collapse. Problem is, they are seeking to prop the current system with the same policies that caused it to fail in the first place--debt and debt financing. The potential collapse of the eurozone has long reaching impact, described by some as viral.
Beyond debt and debt financing through manipulation of unlimited bonds backed by the European Central Bank, another very interesting concept is being discussed--a fiscal union. Wolfgang Munchau of the Financial Times writes "This would involve a partial loss of national sovereignty, and the creation of a credible institutional framework to deal with fiscal policy, and hopefully wider economic policy issues as well. The eurozone needs a treasury, properly staffed, not ad hoc coordination by the European Council over coffee and desert." The key words in this report are a "partial loss of national sovereignty." This is the prophetic direction that Europe is taking and if it is indeed viral, this concept will spread.
It was revealed Monday that the Federal Reserve had secretly boosted banks in the US by far more than was reported. Bloomberg reports: "Add up guarantees and lending limits, and the Fed had committed $7.77 trillion as of March 2009 to rescuing the financial system, more than half the value of everything produced in the US that year." Bloomberg says that the Fed never disclosed the details of the bank bailout to Congress "even as Congress doled out more money and debated new rules aimed at preventing the next collapse." Now the American people are indebted to the government to the tune of $14 trillion, and both Europe and American politicians are demanding more debt to finance this debt.
When you look at the financial landscape, who has the money? China, you might say. But China is so very dependent on the US and Europe for its economy, same with Japan. Those who have the money are Islamic. Every nation mentioned in the Bible regarding the end time attacks on Israel are Islamic. First, there will be a "partial loss of national sovereignty" for the nations to accept and submit to the Revelation 13:17 scenario "that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name." World financial collapse, Islam arising, loss of sovereignty--seems the ingredients are there for the march of prophecy, in type and shadow or in reality. Watch and pray.

Prophetic implications of US Middle East policies
The Middle East was a big ticket item in the 1980 presidential election between incumbent Jimmy Carter and challenger Ronald Reagan. Carter had overseen, even encouraged in the name of "democracy," the overthrow and deposing of the Shah of Iran, one of the staunchest non-Jewish US allies in the region. The Islamists under Ayatollah Khemeni stormed the American Embassy and took it and its people hostage. This, and Carter's growing friendship with terrorist Yassir Arafat, leader of the Soviet-backed Palestinian Liberation Organization, ushered in the modern era of Islamic terrorism. Yet, Carter won a 2002 Nobel Peace Prize for his misguided policies in advancing peace, democracy and human rights.
Some 30 years later, radicalization of the Middle East continues with America's help. The man who occupies the Oval Office has repeated history on a much grander scale. The current administration has publicly partnered with known terrorist sponsor, the Muslim Brotherhood, and at times America's enemy of the decade, al Qaeda, to overthrow governments in the Middle East in the name of "democracy." Now the entire Middle East from Libya to Egypt to Tunisia to Yemen to Morocco to Syria to Pakistan is afire with vehement infighting and revolution. The most common outcome is the positioning of anti-Israel, anti-American Islamic Sharia Law governments rising to power.
This, coupled with the actions of the previous Bush Administration in Iraq, Afghanistan and in Israel (by forcing the evacuation of Israeli settlers from Gaza and democratic elections where terrorist were legitimately voted into power) has made the world a much more dangerous place, but has also advanced prophetic fulfillment. The foreign policy objectives of the past two White Houses has resulted in the elevation of Islamic radicals to positions of power throughout the Middle East. Meantime, there has been nothing greater than lip service and useless sanctions put in place to stop the Russian-China-North Korea axis from assisting Iran in obtaining nuclear weapons and the missile systems to deliver them.
The signs of the time, in the very least, point to a type and shadow of the Day of the Lord, if not the real thing. Isaiah 14:1 speaks of the Lord having "mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land." Isaiah 17:1 prophesies "Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap." As Iran is assisted in its radicalization efforts directly or indirectly by US policies, end time prophecies continue to align. Directly North is Turkey, which has become more Islamic and less secular. It was the last capital of both the Roman Empire, and the Ottoman Empire Caliphate which ruled much of the same territory as Rome until the 1920s. Be watchful that you are not deceived.

White House expresses national condition--giving thanks to state and community
I am sitting here this morning having a cup of recycled coffee, a companion to yesterday's pumpkin pie. I usually peruse the news headlines and pray over what the Lord would have me write. I really didn't want to write about the man who occupies the Oval Office, but then Reuters was reporting his Thanksgiving address. So I went to the White House briefing room website to confirm what I read. It starts: "From my family to yours, I'd like to wish you a happy Thanksgiving. Like millions of Americans, Michelle, Malia, Sasha and I will spend the day eating great food, watching a little football, and reflecting on how truly lucky we truly are." After several readings, my coffee went cold.
"How lucky we truly are"? Really? This man claims to be Christian yet he speaks of Thanksgiving as if life is a big human secularist gamble. But it gets worse from there. His account of the first Thanksgiving is a complete misrepresentation of history and heart, but a total representation of his own heart. He said, "The very first Thanksgiving was a celebration of community during a time of great hardship, and we have followed that example ever since." Nothing could be further from the truth. The very first Thanksgiving was a celebration of the blessings of the one true God in the name of Jesus Christ, who brought these valiant men and women through a time of great suffering. They gave thanks to God not community.
He continues the theme in saying that "Americans from all walks of life are coming together as one people, grateful for the blessings of family, community, and country. If we keep that spirit alive, if we support each other, and look out for each other, and remember that we're all in this together, then I know that we too will overcome the challenges of our time." Don't be fooled by these smooth and emotional words. They are the words of a man who is glorifying humanism and statism (central control of the people) over the blessings of God himself. Throughout his address, he speaks of blessings and being thankful, but to who? Some innocuous spirit of community? Is this what Thanksgiving is all about?
A resounding "NO." But it is a good part of the reason why our nation is in the condition it is in--that our leaders have no moral bearing. Our nation is in decline because our people have chosen godless leaders who hold statism and humanism in the highest regard to their actions. Jesus said in Matthew 7:20, 21, "Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. Not every one that says unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of my Father which is in heaven." We need to wake up as a nation and as a people, starting with God's people, because I do not wish to hear my Savior say to any, "I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity."

The troubling implications of Jose Pimentel's arrest
The arrest of Jose Pimentel says a lot about the war on terror, homeland security, the news media, and the Islamic threat to America. Pimentel is a 27 year old man who New York police arrested on charges of plotting to build bombs to kill American soldiers returning from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as post offices, police cars and other facilities. He is a naturalized US citizen born in the Dominican Republic. In most news stories from major media, the fact that Pimentel is a converted Muslim is buried or never revealed. But Pimentel's post-conversion name is Muhammad Yusuf--which was not reported by mainstream US media, but rather by the UK Telegraph and the UK Independent.
There is more to the story. The FBI and Homeland Security didn't see Yusuf as a threat and declined to take on the case, according to the New York Police Department. NYPD, however, persisted that Yusuf was worth watching. Yusuf was a follower of al Qaeda terrorist mastermind Anwar al-Awlaki, who the US disposed of via a September drone attack in Yemen. Yusuf was inspired by al Qaeda's online magazine "Inspire" to use an article's instructions to build a bomb in your mother's kitchen. And that's exactly what he is charged with as he was living with his mother and proceeded to build a bomb from materials that he purchased from Home Depot.
Interesting that Yusuf's mother Carmen Sosa told reporters that she was shocked and saddened by what her son is alleged to have done. She said, "I would like to apologize about this, I mean I didn't raise my son that way. I feel very bad about this. I always loved New York the way it is. I also want to say thank you to the police. I think they handled it well." She said her son was raised Catholic but became interested in Islam shortly after the September 11 attacks. The mother said that she was "very disappointed with what my son was doing." She said she never saw him with bomb-making materials and that most of the time, "He was very calm. He was praying to Allah, reading the Quran."
Throughout the Bible there are examples of what happens when the people of a country turn away from God. As a nation, the United States has reversed its longstanding and traditional reverence of God to become revelers of humanism and false gods. The Lord said of Babylon in Jeremiah 51:14, "Surely I will fill thee with men, as with locusts, and they shall lift up a battle cry against thee." The US today looks a lot like the Babylon of yesteryears--so much so that the FBI and Homeland Security do not see people like Yusuf a threat--so much so that the mainstream news media ignores the very reason this Islamic convert did what he did--reading the Quran and the hate filled propaganda its followers produce.

How the fabric of prophecy is woven into a garment of destruction
Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak told CNN that the "time has come" to deal with Iran. Referencing the United Nations report indicating Iran was developing nuclear technology with the intent to weaponize it, Barak said, "People understand now that Iran is determined to reach nuclear weapons...and that should be stopped." Meanwhile, Iran launched an air defense drill that, according to the Islamic Republic News Agency, will use "missile systems, advanced anti-aircraft artillery and various radar systems, as well as "tactical maneuvers aimed at increasing the level of preparedness amid possible threats to the Islamic homeland's airspace, particularly with regards to the country's...nuclear centers.""
Iran's vassal state nearest to Israel, Syria, is experiencing domestic unrest, but both Iran and Russia are working to shore up dictator-president Bashar Assad's grip on the nation. The Syrian News Agency reports that Russian warships will arrive near Syria later this week. This sends a signal to the West that Russia will have a hand in preventing any foreign involvement in the Syrian unrest. AP reports that the terrorist group Hezbollah has compromised CIA and Israeli intelligence in Lebanon. AP claims that Iran has invested up to $200 million in breaking the CIA infiltration of Hezbollah. Hezbollah, Hamas, the Muslim Brotherhood, Islamic Jihad and Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade are inextricably linked.
In July, Hezbollah, Hamas, and the Muslim Brotherhood held a two-day conference in Egypt to "Support the Option of Resistance." Resistance is the code word for terrorism among the Islamists. The Meir Amit Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center reported that delegates from 14 countries attended. Among them were Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Turkey, Iran, Indonesia, Morocco, Sudan and Jordan. The Muslim Brotherhood's goal was to unite Shia and Sunni Islamists against Israel and the United States. The man who occupies the Oval Office and his administration have embraced the Muslim Brotherhood as a foreign policy partner in the Middle East.
The Middle East cauldron is about to boil over. When it does, there will be revealed the true alliances of the end times. We are facing a critical point because the US is playing both sides--Israeli and Islamic--as never before in the brief history of this nation. It is important because of America's global leadership position and its traditional standing in the breech for Israel. The end time prophecies concerning Jerusalem, including Zechariah 12:3 where "all the people of the earth be gathered together against it" are weaving together on the loom of destruction. America has allowed this prophetic fabric to strengthen by partnering with the antichrist Islamists. If America dons this garment, more woes will come.

How the fabric of prophecy is woven into a garment of destruction
Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak told CNN that the "time has come" to deal with Iran. Referencing the United Nations report indicating Iran was developing nuclear technology with the intent to weaponize it, Barak said, "People understand now that Iran is determined to reach nuclear weapons...and that should be stopped." Meanwhile, Iran launched an air defense drill that, according to the Islamic Republic News Agency, will use "missile systems, advanced anti-aircraft artillery and various radar systems, as well as "tactical maneuvers aimed at increasing the level of preparedness amid possible threats to the Islamic homeland's airspace, particularly with regards to the country's...nuclear centers.""
Iran's vassal state nearest to Israel, Syria, is experiencing domestic unrest, but both Iran and Russia are working to shore up dictator-president Bashar Assad's grip on the nation. The Syrian News Agency reports that Russian warships will arrive near Syria later this week. This sends a signal to the West that Russia will have a hand in preventing any foreign involvement in the Syrian unrest. AP reports that the terrorist group Hezbollah has compromised CIA and Israeli intelligence in Lebanon. AP claims that Iran has invested up to $200 million in breaking the CIA infiltration of Hezbollah. Hezbollah, Hamas, the Muslim Brotherhood, Islamic Jihad and Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade are inextricably linked.
In July, Hezbollah, Hamas, and the Muslim Brotherhood held a two-day conference in Egypt to "Support the Option of Resistance." Resistance is the code word for terrorism among the Islamists. The Meir Amit Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center reported that delegates from 14 countries attended. Among them were Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Turkey, Iran, Indonesia, Morocco, Sudan and Jordan. The Muslim Brotherhood's goal was to unite Shia and Sunni Islamists against Israel and the United States. The man who occupies the Oval Office and his administration have embraced the Muslim Brotherhood as a foreign policy partner in the Middle East.
The Middle East cauldron is about to boil over. When it does, there will be revealed the true alliances of the end times. We are facing a critical point because the US is playing both sides--Israeli and Islamic--as never before in the brief history of this nation. It is important because of America's global leadership position and its traditional standing in the breech for Israel. The end time prophecies concerning Jerusalem, including Zechariah 12:3 where "all the people of the earth be gathered together against it" are weaving together on the loom of destruction. America has allowed this prophetic fabric to strengthen by partnering with the antichrist Islamists. If America dons this garment, more woes will come.

Of rebellion and obedience--why OWS is wrong
"The police are not honoring any rule of law at all" by barricading off streets in Manhattan to contain the Occupy Wall Street protests on Thursday morning, according to a cameraman who is filming the live webcam of the Occupy Wall Street protests. Shouting "All day all week, Occupy Wall Street", hundreds of anarchists moved into the streets. Some were chanting, "turn over that car," others chanted "We got sold out." Someone said, "its like being in Egypt." Then there were chants, "Occupy is under attack, what do we do? Stand up and fight back." With that, they tried to move the police barricade as they moved toward the New York Stock Exchange. This is the scene early Thursday in New York.
People who were trying to get to work were harassed by the protesters, saying, "C'mon rebel with us" as they moved to block intersections near the stock exchange. This movement, which is distinctly advocating the end of capitalism, called for November 17 to be a global day of action of solidarity. One group within the OWS movement is called "Global Revolution." The OWS website says that this is the first global protest movement in modern history, saying, "People around the world...have opened their eyes together to the decadence and injustice of the common system that exploits us...We will not stop moving forward until bankers and governments are held accountable for their crimes."
Some of what the OWS movement has to say bears heed. Our Founding Fathers in America believed that the system of market and government they developed could only survive with a moral and religious people. The lack of ethics by some corporate leaders, the corruption in government, the exploitation of people have given many a reason to take to the streets. But here is the issue: Socialism, communism, class warfare will not cure the problem, it will only change the faces of corruption and greed. These OWS people, supported by the man who occupies the Oval Office, have a secular humanist agenda. Many a well-intentioned people will fall prey to those who are truly in control of this "rebellion."
There is an old saying that the path to hell is paved with good intentions. As the Apostle Paul wrote in 2 Timothy 3:1, "This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come." Then he lists all things that men shall be. Verses 8 and 9 say, "Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was." The folly here is that the answer well-intended people seek is found only in Christ. It is in Christ, not in rebellion, that they would know the right thing. Greed and corruption are not stopped by economic and political systems, but only by obedience to God.

Russia, China, Iran, US--a steady diet of lies and deception
The man who occupies the Oval Office says that Russia, China and America all agree on the objective that Iran should not have nuclear weapons. He told reporters at the Asian Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit in Hawaii, "So what I did was to speak with President Medvedev, as well as President Hu, and all three of us entirely agree on the objective, which is making sure that Iran does not weaponize nuclear power and that we don't trigger a nuclear arms race in the region. That's in the interests of all of us.... And so we're going to keep on pushing on that. And China and Russia have the same aims, the same objectives, and I believe that we'll continue to cooperate and collaborate closely on that issue."
The president's remarks reflect delusion. China, Russia and the US have never been on the same page regarding Iran. Jesus said in Matthew 7:15, 16, "Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits." The leaders of China and Russia are not religious prophets, but the same warning can apply. China and Russia have opposed nearly every United Nations Security Council effort to stop the Iranian nuclear program, settling for lesser actions called "sanctions" that have proven not to work. Notwithstanding a dismal track record, the president believes that sanctions will curtail Iran's nuclear weaponization.
He said, "In terms of how we move forward, we will be consulting with them carefully over the next several weeks to look at what other options we have available to us. The sanctions have enormous bite and enormous scope, and we're building off the platform that has already been established. The question is, are there additional measures that we can take. And we're going to explore every avenue to see if we can solve this issue diplomatically." These sanctions have not worked because Russia and China are suppliers to Iran of materials and expertise for both the nuclear weaponization and the missile technology to deliver these weapons into the heart of Israel. Iran is paying Russia and China handsomely for the help.
The president even said in his remarks that the Arab Spring revolutions--spearheaded by the terrorist sponsoring Muslim Brotherhood and assisted by the US--has reduced Iran's influence in the region. To the contrary, Iran is applauding these efforts because a more radical Islam is being established in the place of the deposed governments. The American people are being fed a false diet of lies and subterfuge regarding Russia, China, the Middle East and America's role in the region. It is a steady diet of deception for Americans and a banquet meal for the antichrist policies of the end times. We as Christians are not instructed to just give up and allow this to happen. We must choose who we serve--For me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

Israel's explosive answer to Iran amid prophetic overture
Israel's M-O never has been to wait until its too late. That's why the world is on edge that Israel may take a preemptive approach toward Iran's growing nuclear weapons program. But Israel has been taking an aggressive approach all along, it hasn't been all that public, but it has been explosive. In May 2004, a train carrying North Korean missiles to Syria was mysteriously blown up along with a dozen Syrian missile technicians. In September 2007, an Israeli air strike left a crater at a nuclear facility Iran was helping Syria build for military purposes--this was confirmed by the United Nations in April 2011. In December 2010, the Stuxnet virus attacked Iran's nuclear programs, setting it back two years.
A finger has been pointed at Israel over a 2010 explosion at Iran's Shahab facility and an attack earlier the same year that killed one of Iran's top nuclear physicists. Other less newsworthy explosions have also occurred in Iran associated with its nuclear or military facilities. It appears that Monday's explosions in Iran was yet another subtle, but not so subtle reminder that Israel intends to seek every possible option before direct confrontation to protect itself from Iran's nuclear armed future aggressions. The UK Guardian reports that Israel's intelligence agency, the Mossad, was behind the blast at the Bid Ganeh military base that killed Iran's leading missile developer and 16 others.

Former head of Israeli national security Ilan Mizrahi said, "I have no idea whether this blast was accidental or whether it was sabotage. But I will say God bless those who were behind it, because the free world should be doing its best to prevent Iran from achieving nuclear military capability." Mizrahi also told reporters that "There is nothing in this latest IAEA (UN) report that Israel hasn't known for a long time. Their arsenal of long-range missiles is also too often overlooked. I believe a military strike is an option that should be put clearly on the table. Something should be done to stop Iran."
Then Mizrahi waxed prophetic: "I think in the end [Israel] will stand alone." Certainly, with Israel's chief ally the United States supporting al Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood in overthrowing the governments in Libya, Tunisia and Egypt, Israel must feel pretty alone already. But as any reader of Bible prophecy knows, this is just a beginning. Zechariah 12:3 speaks of the Day of the Lord where "all the people of the earth be gathered together against it (Jerusalem)." And there is clear warning in verse 9,"I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem." Indeed, Israel will be alone, with the exception of the one true God. And if God be for them, who can be against them? No one that's remaining.

Leaping closer to the Damascus prophecy
Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says that the United Nations report on Iran's nuclear program only documents what can be proven, but in reality the terrorist sponsoring nation is far closer to having a nuclear bomb than the report confirms. Reuters reports that Netanyahu said, "Iran is closer to getting an (atomic) bomb than is thought. Only things that could be proven were written (in the report), but in reality there are many other things that we see." The UN report has went further than any other in the past decade to confirm that Iran is indeed weaponizing its nuclear program. These are facts that the US and Israel have known for years, but have only been revealed by the UN since a change in leadership.
In 2009, Japan's Yukiya Amano was elected to serve as the head of the UN's International Atomic Energy Agency. He replaced Islamist Mohamed El Baradei, who was considered soft on Iran's nuclear development, often emphatically denying that Iran was developing a weapons system, despite intelligence contrary to his position. Amano won the IAEA position over another Islamist, Abdul Samad Minty from South Africa. Minty was positioned to challenge the US and other nuclear powers to disarm. Minty was supported by Arab states. The Jerusalem Post reported in July 2009 that Israel was relieved that Minty did not win the position.
The Post said that Israeli officials thought Minty's relationship with Iran was too cozy. South Africa, where Minty is from, supported Iran because of historical and business relationships, which included Iran providing cheap oil. Under Minty's guidance, South Africa abstained from confirming the 2006 IAEA report on Iran, siding with Islamic nations and Iran by withholding its vote. MSNBC reported in March 2009 that "Support for Amano from the US, Canada, the European Union and others was to an extent less because he was the ideal candidate and more "because of fears that Minty would become a second El Baradei.""
It is no coincidence that the recent report on Iranian nukes by the UN's nuclear watchdog had more of the truth in it than El Baradei would have allowed. But according to the Israeli Prime Minister, it still doesn't disclose all that Israeli intelligence knows. An Israeli strike on Iran's nuclear facilities could have Biblical impact. On one hand, it could devastate Iran's nuclear intentions. On the other hand it could invite counter strikes from Iran or Iran's vassal state, Syria, just North of Israel. A very important end time prophecy is found in Isaiah 17:1, which says, "Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap." Given the state of circumstances, the world is far closer to this prophetic fulfillment than it was before the UN report on Iran.

Homosexuality and Penn State
Penn State University is in the headlines every day now over the acts of a homosexual pedophile and the university's complicity in an assistant coach who allegedly violated several young boys during his tenure as a coach and as a head of children's advocacy organization. The aftermath is the public judging of revered coach Joe Paterno for not doing enough to stop it or to bring police into the mix sooner. It seems as though the public is losing sight of some of the important factors here. Children were abused. The abuser was a homosexual pedophile--not Joe Paterno. Now those who participated in a cover up, if they did so, have perpetrated a horrible act against humanity. But the culprit is homosexuality.
I know that there will be some Christians getting mad about this because there are so many out there that believe that homosexuality is just OK. They argue that people are born that way. They argue that they are all God's children so we should love them. And I know that this column will be misinterpreted and misconstrued. But bottom line is, homosexuality is an abomination unto the Lord. And it is certainly an abomination unto the children and the families of those children whose lives will be forever changed by this vile and disgusting behavior that American society continues to try to excuse. It wasn't Joe Paterno who abused those children. The man who did it was a homosexual.
From a Biblical world view, all homosexual acts are perverted. In Leviticus 18:22, the Lord says, "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination." In Leviticus 20:13, the Lord says, "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them." This is how serious a sin homosexuality is to God and how God wished it to be handled among his people. If you want a New Testament picture of how homosexuality is viewed, Romans 1:21 through 32--words like "vile affections," "reprobate mind," "dishonor their own bodies," concluding, "they which commit such things are worthy of death."
Nowadays, however, homosexuality is celebrated. Its on just about every TV show. Its taught in public schools as normal.It is a protected class. Homosexuals compare themselves with blacks regarding discrimination. I can tell you that I have met former homosexuals, but I have never met a former black man. When society puts such an emphasis on an evil thing, is it no wonder that Joe Paterno would be ushered out of office in shame for "not doing enough" when the spotlight ought to be on the pervert and his homosexual deeds? Even the American Psychological Association has published papers saying man-boy relationships are healthy to the child. With society so obsessed with approving perversion, is it any wonder that there are not more Penn State-type stories?

The aftermath is the public judging of revered coach Joe Paterno for not doing enough to stop it or to bring police into the mix sooner. It seems as though the public is losing sight of some of the important factors here. Children were abused. The abuser was a homosexual pedophile--not Joe Paterno. Now those who participated in a cover up, if they did so, have perpetrated a horrible act against humanity. But the culprit is homosexuality.
I know that there will be some Christians getting mad about this because there are so many out there that believe that homosexuality is just OK. They argue that people are born that way. They argue that they are all God's children so we should love them. And I know that this column will be misinterpreted and misconstrued. But bottom line is, homosexuality is an abomination unto the Lord. And it is certainly an abomination unto the children and the families of those children whose lives will be forever changed by this vile and disgusting behavior that American society continues to try to excuse. It wasn't Joe Paterno who abused those children. The man who did it was a homosexual.
From a Biblical world view, all homosexual acts are perverted. In Leviticus 18:22, the Lord says, "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination." In Leviticus 20:13, the Lord says, "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them." This is how serious a sin homosexuality is to God and how God wished it to be handled among his people. If you want a New Testament picture of how homosexuality is viewed, Romans 1:21 through 32--words like "vile affections," "reprobate mind," "dishonor their own bodies," concluding, "they which commit such things are worthy of death."
Nowadays, however, homosexuality is celebrated. Its on just about every TV show. Its taught in public schools as normal.It is a protected class. Homosexuals compare themselves with blacks regarding discrimination. I can tell you that I have met former homosexuals, but I have never met a former black man. When society puts such an emphasis on an evil thing, is it no wonder that Joe Paterno would be ushered out of office in shame for "not doing enough" when the spotlight ought to be on the pervert and his homosexual deeds? Even the American Psychological Association has published papers saying man-boy relationships are healthy to the child. With society so obsessed with approving perversion, is it any wonder that there are not more Penn State-type stories?

The 3 part harmony of prophetic destiny
The United Nations released its nuclear report on Iran. It said, "The Agency has serious concerns regarding possible military dimensions to Iran's nuclear programme. After assessing carefully and critically the extensive information available to it, the Agency finds the information to be, overall, credible. The information indicates that Iran has carried out activities relevant to the development of a nuclear explosive device. The information also indicates that prior to the end of 2003, these activities took place under a structured programme, and that some activities may still be ongoing." In other words, the former UN nuclear chief, Islamist Moahmed El Baradei overlooked the small issue of Iran developing a nuclear weapon.
Before a news conference at the G-20 Summit, French President Nicolas Sarkozy and his United States counterpart were caught on mic discussing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Sarkozy said, "I can't stand him. He's a liar." The US president replied, "You're tired of him; what about me? I have to deal with him every day." Journalists had agreed not to report the exchange because the two did not know the mic was live. But as news travels among them, one broke the story and the rest followed thereafter. Instead of apologizing for the vindictive words, White House press used the opportunity to chastise Netanyahu for not holding direct talks to establish a Palestinian state.
With the US and European attitude toward Israel and the pressure applied to establish a terrorist state splitting Israel into two parts with East Jerusalem as the terrorist state's capital as a backdrop, the world financial markets continue to decline precipitously. CNBC reported that US stocks and bonds plummeted on news that German, Italy, Greece, and France equity markets were down 2.2 percent. CNBC quoted Marc Chandler, Brown Brothers Harriman chief currency strategist saying, "It's not just Italy. The contagion is spreading. They've got to stop this. The French bond spread to the German bund is at a new high. Three month Libor is at its highest level in more than a year...all of this is showing rising tensions."
Many want the US Federal Reserve to save the European markets. Trouble is, the US debt level is the highest in history. All this is occurring while Iran is allowed to build a nuclear weapon with the stated intention that Israel should be wiped off the map; the US president is pressuring Israel to split its nation into two pieces; and European and US leaders are ridiculing the Prime Minister of Israel. There is tremendous worldwide peril and the common ground is found in a tiny Middle Eastern country where world leaders are fixated on seeing some form of worldly justice. Zechariah 12:9 says, "And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem." The type and shadow is before us.

Why nobody good wants to run for public office
Exodus 18 gives Americans a basis for representative government. Moses stood before the people and served as their judge from morning unto evening, making them know the statutes of God and his laws. But Moses' father in law Jethro said that this was too heavy a task to perform alone. Jethro gave him advice in verse 21: "Moreover thou shalt provide out of all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness; and place such over them, to be rulers of thousands, and rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens." This good advice would serve us well in selecting good leaders, but unfortunately, the human factor creeps in and discourages good leaders from seeking to lead.
In 1792, Treasury Secretary Alexander Hamilton and Secretary of State Thomas Jefferson had such disagreements on foreign policy and financial policy that the two split into factions, leading to the formation of political parties, the Federalists led by Hamilton, and the Republicans led by Jefferson. While the split on how the Constitution was interpreted regarding foreign and domestic policy was deep, the rift grew to a deep personal chasm between the two. Both established party-line newspapers and set about to accuse one another of being a danger to the existence of the United States--they called into question one another's honor, morals and integrity.
Insomuch as we have today a candidate of color who stands accused of sexual harassment and other unproven charges by people with intimate connections to the opposing party illustrates why good people dare not toss their hat in the arena of public politics. Whether it was Clarence Thomas or Herman Cain, the opposition paraded thinly veiled connectors before the public to discredit these men in the most personally demeaning way that could be considered racist if reporters were being fair to both sides. Notwithstanding, candidates of color or not face not only scrutiny on their professional and personal lives, they often face dredged up allegations of the worse possible nature just for headline value.
The laws are such that it is nearly impossible to prove slander or libel against a public figure. When it comes down to it, no man or woman with great integrity would count the costs and enter politics as a candidate without great reservations. Many a good leader chooses not to put family and reputation through the process. So when you think about it, could it be that Americans get bad leaders because the majority of those who will subject themselves to the process care so little about what people think about them that they can easily take the public hits? Are we missing good leadership because we not only allow, but thrive on the gossip rather than the true content of character?

The UN peace charade and Iran's nukes
The Daily Jot has reported since 2003 that Iran was developing a nuclear weapon. Mohamed El Baradei, an Egyptian-born Islamist was the head of the United Nation's International Atomic Energy Agency, the agency charged with stopping nuclear proliferation. Throughout the years, El Baradei repeatedly said that he saw no evidence that Iran was developing a nuclear weapon. El Baradei even won a Nobel Peace Prize for his work in preventing nuclear proliferation, although during his tenure on the job, Pakistan, India, Iran North Korea, and even Syria either developed nuclear weapons or made serious progress toward having them. El Baradei, you might recall, is now a leader in the Egyptian Islamic rebellion.
I have written all along that El Baradei was covering for Iran to develop a nuclear weapon. He was the linchpin in managing the information out of Tehran and how the "smart" people at the UN were receiving it. He consistently said that Iran was developing nuclear technology for peaceful purposes, blatantly ignoring the parallel process of developing missile delivery systems to deliver a nuclear payload. Russia, China, and North Korea were all assisting Iran in both the nuclear technology and how to deliver it. Now the United Nations, after Iran is nearly complete with its nuclear weapons development, is on the eve of releasing a report that all sources say will confirm Iran's nuclear weapons development.
Of course, the man who occupies the Oval Office is on edge because Israel might make a preemptive strike on Iran to prevent the nuclear program from advancing to its final outcome. Diplomatic sources for the White House are saying that an Israeli strike would be against American interests in the region. The UN Security Council has issued sanctions from time to time against Iran. But sources are now saying that it will take months to get China and Russia to cooperate with further sanctions. Who are we trying to fool here? Russia and China are protecting their long term financial interests in keeping Iran's program moving forward. This is a charade with extremely dangerous consequences.
In 2006 meetings I had with both Israeli Knesset members and officials within Israel's foreign ministry said that they could not wait beyond a certain point before taking action against Iran's nuclear program. After all, Iran's leaders have been adamant that Israel should be wiped off the earth. The White House support of Islam and its subsequent radicalization of the Middle East has created an even more hostile environment for Israel. We have seen how the one world order (the UN) fails to deliver peace. We have also seen that the US has failed to keep the peace. Now Israel is somewhat cornered. Pslam 122:6 says, "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love you." This is wisdom.

Bible rewritten: the book of Barack
There is a lot going on lately about God. The House of Representatives has passed a resolution 396-9 reaffirming "In God We Trust" as America's national motto. Virginia Republican Congressman Randy Forbes says he was compelled to introduce the measure because there were so many falsehoods in the public square about God and country. He said that people misunderstand the phrase "separation of church and state," there are many errors regarding the founding of the nation in the new Capitol Visitor Center, and there have been many times when courts and others have tried to prevent citizens from exercising their freedom of religion. One of the biggest misunderstandings came from the White House.
Forbes said that the man who occupies the Oval Office misrepresented the national motto in his November 2010 speech aimed at appeasing the Muslim world. Forbes said the president "falsley proclaimed that our national motto was E pluribus unum. The President failed to respond to congressional entreaties to issue a correction; the uncorrected transcript remains on the White House website." The president, who appears to be standing firm that the national motto should not have God in it, also set the record straight about the Bible during the week. He said, "I trust in God, but God wants to see us help ourselves by putting people back to work." So now he is prophet as well as president.
Americans would do well to check his credentials for both. White House press secretary Jay Carney explained the president's remarks, saying, "I believe that phrase in the Bible is 'the Lord helps those who help themselves.'" While a column by Jim Denison states that 75% of Americans believe the statement is in the Bible as do 68% of born-again Christians, the phrase is not in the Bible, unless of course the president is rewriting it as well as the national motto. The phrase actually originated in 1698 in British politician Algemon Sydney's "Discourses Concerning Government" and went national when Benjamin Franklin published it in "Poor Richard's Almanac" in 1757.
While the book of Barack may suggest that government is God's arm in America, the truth of the matter is that the government is far from God. And evidenced by the poll numbers cited by Denison, so are born again Christians. Christians have been bombarded by so many teachers and preachers who paraphrase or downright misquote the Bible that the sheep do not even know what is in it. That's how false prophets begin to rewrite things anew and people begin to accept them. Jesus said in Matthew 24:4, "Take heed that no man deceive you." Jesus also said that we would know them by their fruits. At the G-20 meeting in France, the president shook hands with all the European leaders, but hugged the Islamic leader of Turkey. I'm just saying...

US natural disasters and diplomatic pressure on Israel
There are many Christians who do not believe that the current nation of Israel is Israel in the Biblical sense. There are many who do not believe the word of G-d in Genesis 12:3 which says of Israel, "And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curses thee." And there are many who do not believe it anything more than coincidence when American leaders pressure Israel to give up land for peace that economic, political or "natural" calamities occur in the United States. There is a resistance to admit that G-d judges the nations and the people in them. Believe what you will, but the condition of this nation and how it is treating Israel appear to be inextricably linked.
Since President George W. Bush openly stated that there should be a Palestinian state living side by side in peace with Israel, the United States has experienced rapid decline. Bush went so far as pressuring Israel to boot settlers out of Gaza and set up elections where Palestinians chose terrorists to represent them. Instead of being an example of how Palestinians can live in peace with Israel, Gaza has been a harbor for terrorists who routinely shell Israeli towns with missiles. The United States experienced the multi-billion dollar catastrophe of hurricane Katrina within days after the evacuation of Gaza. Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon suffered a coma. The US economy took a huge hit.
Enter the current man who occupies the Oval Office. Unemployment rises. A record number of Americans lose their homes to foreclosures and evictions--forced out in similar fashion as those settlers in Gaza. Debt skyrockets. And this Administration not only pressures Israel to quit building houses, to allow a Palestinian state that cuts Israel into two pieces, but also that Jerusalem be the terrorist capital. In addition, this Administration embraces the terrorist sponsoring Muslim Brotherhood as a foreign policy partner, which in turn, destabilizes the entire Middle East by overthrowing governments and replacing them with Sharia law, Islamic "democracies"--which is a contradiction in terms.
The Insurance Information Institute reports 2011 federal disaster declarations have already broken the record established in 2010. President of the institute, Dr. Robert Hartwig said, "The number of US disaster declarations has been trending sharply upward, particularly over the past 15 years." He said catastrophe claim payouts have totaled nearly $25 billion in the first nine months of 2011. Already 2011 has experienced 10 weather-related disasters that had each generated a billion dollars in economic losses, breaking an annual record set in 1980--the year after the Carter-brokered Middle East peace accords called for giving up the traditional Israeli land of Judea and Samaria (West Bank).

Enter the current man who occupies the Oval Office. Unemployment rises. A record number of Americans lose their homes to foreclosures and evictions--forced out in similar fashion as those settlers in Gaza. Debt skyrockets. And this Administration not only pressures Israel to quit building houses, to allow a Palestinian state that cuts Israel into two pieces, but also that Jerusalem be the terrorist capital. In addition, this Administration embraces the terrorist sponsoring Muslim Brotherhood as a foreign policy partner, which in turn, destabilizes the entire Middle East by overthrowing governments and replacing them with Sharia law, Islamic "democracies"--which is a contradiction in terms.
The Insurance Information Institute reports 2011 federal disaster declarations have already broken the record established in 2010. President of the institute, Dr. Robert Hartwig said, "The number of US disaster declarations has been trending sharply upward, particularly over the past 15 years." He said catastrophe claim payouts have totaled nearly $25 billion in the first nine months of 2011. Already 2011 has experienced 10 weather-related disasters that had each generated a billion dollars in economic losses, breaking an annual record set in 1980--the year after the Carter-brokered Middle East peace accords called for giving up the traditional Israeli land of Judea and Samaria (West Bank).

America's self inflicted wake of destruction
In April 2006 meetings with the Israel Foreign Ministry, I was told that Israel, while patient, would not wait indefinitely to act against Iran's nuclear program. Israeli officials at that time were concerned that UN efforts to stop a nuclear weapon program in Iran were fruitless and that eventually it may come to unilateral action. Certainly, Israel was hopeful that the US would support the effort if it came down to that. In 2006, everybody knew except the UN that Iran was developing a nuclear weapon with the help of the Russians. The US-Israeli relationship was far stronger in 2006 than it is today. Now, it is reported that the man who occupies the Oval Office is concerned that Israel will launch an attack on Iran.
A news report from Ynet says that a US State Department official has expressed concerns that an upcoming UN report on Iran's military nuclear progress will "trigger Israeli actions against the Islamic Republic which may not necessarily be in line with US interests in the region." According to the article, the US is pressuring Russia and China to condemn Iran with harsher sanctions. But both countries have been part and parcel to helping Iran build its nuclear program and the missile systems to deliver a nuclear bomb. With the exiting of US troops from Iraq and a subsequent announcement that the US is seeking a strong military presence in Kuwait, the Middle East is a quagmire for foreign policy strategists.
Complicating the matter is that the US Administration has destabilized Egypt, Tunisia and Libya with so-called democracy that is resulting in the establishment of Sharia Islamic states. This makes the region more hostile to Israel, and at the same time, emboldens Iran as a sponsor of violence and terrorism. The alignment of the US with the Muslim Brotherhood, whose goal is a global Caliphate under Sharia, has added a tremendous, game changing element to an already unstable and tenuous situation. When a State Department official says that Israeli actions may not be in line with US interests in the region, one has to ask just what is that US interest. It appears to be in support of Islam throughout the region.
These are indeed perilous times as the godless are in the seat of control. Jeremiah 8:9-11 says, "The wise men are shamed, they are dismayed and taken: lo, they have rejected the word of the Lord; and what wisdom is in them? Therefore will I give their wives unto others, and their fields to them that shall inherit them: for every one from the least even unto the greatest is given to covetousness, from the prophet even unto the priest every one deals falsely. For they have healed the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, Peace; when there is no peace." These vain evildoers publicly chase after peace, when in reality they are void of God and thus destruction follows them.

The Chosen Generation
I listened from the gallery to my friend and President Ronald Reagan deliver his 2nd Inaugural Address, January 21, 1985: "The time has come for a new American emancipation-a great national drive to tear down economic barriers and liberate the spirit of enterprise in the most distressed areas of our country. My friends, together we can do this, and do it we must, so help me God...If not us, who? And if not now, when? It must be done by all of us going forward..." The election of 1984 was affirmation that Reagan's economic policies and his bully pro-American, pro-moral agenda was working. He was reversing the policies of the failed socialist agenda of Jimmy Carter, which left the nation in an economic and foreign policy abyss.
The 2010 election was also a referendum on a socialist agenda--a referendum that rejected outright and with force the failing policies of the counter-American. Yet, these soldiers of socialism, who were kicked out of office for their dastardly deeds that left our nation economically bankrupt, came back and worked more of their evil in a lame duck session. Some of those who were re-elected surely did not get the message. We as a nation still have leadership that wishes to remake America into a socialist, perhaps even communist, so-called democracy. More czars, more power grabs, more spending, more laws that are made but never read, more freedoms taken away through laws and regulations.
In the past, Americans have always rebounded by standing against such tyranny, such evil. Washington led his soldiers in prayer. Lincoln called for a day of fasting and prayer, saying he didn't wonder if God was on America's side, but rather was America on God's side. It is time, as Reagan so eloquently said, that the move away from this godless society must be done by all of us going forward. The battle really isn't about socialism or communism or tyranny. Those are just results of the battle. The battle is over the souls of our fellow citizens. If they knew and understood what was right, they would act on it.
But as the scriptures ask, "How shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent?"
The Apostle Peter prophesied in 1 Peter 2:9 says, "But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar (God's own) people; that ye should show forth the praises of him who has called you out of darkness into his marvelous light." Verse 12 says, "Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.", We are the royal priests that are to lead the people of our nation into the light...we need to "Speak boldly as we ought to speak" and "Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good."
