The big wedding--are you invited?

There was a big wedding in England this week. Anybody who is anybody was invited. It was the beautiful people on earth all gathered to see Prince William wed Kate Middleton at Westminster Abbey. The man who occupies the Oval Office was not invited. And the Ambassador to Syria, a terrorist sponsoring nation, was uninvited because he is not supporting the democratic revolution there sponsored by another terrorist group, the Muslim Brotherhood. So where does that put the President of the United States--somewhere between president of the most powerful nation in the free world and a front man for a terrorist sponsoring country? But there is going to be another wedding even bigger than the royals.

Not everybody will make the list on this wedding either. In fact, you will be most likely surprised who is there. Its been a long time in preparation. In typical Jewish tradition, the bridegroom has gone to prepare a place for his bride at his father's estate. When the father says that the abode is ready, the bridegroom will return for his bride. The bride is supposed to be spotless and ready, for she does not know at what day or time her groom will return. She should have her life in order, ready to leave with her husband on a moments notice. She has many, many who tend to her. They are also to keep watch for the return of the groom, as it may be like a thief in the night.

Unlike the royals' guestbook, the names of those who will attend this wedding are kept in a book away from the public's eye. In fact, not all who know the groom and have done many wonderful works in his name will be allowed to enter in. Some who have known the groom for a long time, others who have known him only a short time will be allowed to come. Its not a list of celebrities. In fact, a lot of common folk will make the list, to the great astonishment of others. Some might be those who work in the field, others in factories, still others who are fishermen. Some might have a lot of money, but most will not. Notwithstanding, this will be the most important of royal weddings in history.

By now you may have figured out that I am referring to the wedding of the Church with Jesus Christ. It is the wedding that nobody would want to miss. And its not going to matter whether you are the president of the United States or the ambassador to Syria. All that matters is your heart and whether you have accepted Jesus as your savior and have kept his commandments. While many may have wished and hoped they were in the guest book for the Will and Kate wedding, the one thing everyone should want to be sure of is to have your name written in the book of life. Revelation 20:15 says, "And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." Do you have an invitation?

Of Evil and Good: The faith of Founding Fathers

Of Evil and Good: The faith of Founding Fathers

No small amount of controversy has been stirring among Christian circles over the faith of the Founding Fathers of America, their beliefs about Jesus Christ and how followers of "Dominion" or "Kingdom Now" theology are trying to use the Founders to get Christians involved in politics. Dominion theology is the belief that Christians must establish the Kingdom of God here on earth in order to prepare the way for the return of Jesus Christ. Those who believe in Dominion theology, therefore, believe Christians must be involved in high places of government in order to effectively establish this kingdom. It is wrong minded and bad theology in that Jesus himself will establish his kingdom when he returns.

There has been strong evidence provided by filmmaker Christian Pinto that many of the Founding Fathers, while accepting and following the moral code established in the Bible, did not believe in miracles, especially those regarding the virgin birth of Jesus and his resurrection. Thomas Paine, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin are among those Pinto documents through their letters and books who did not believe that the Christ had come in the flesh. Pinto rightly claims that they are as described in 2 John 7, "For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist."

Many Christians are using these documentations to discredit the Founding Fathers completely as well as an excuse to shun any form of civic responsibility relating to good government. Another Founding Father John Jay, however, on October 12, 1816, said, "Providence has given to our people the choice of their rulers, and it is the duty, as well as the privilege and interest of our Christian nation to select and prefer Christians for their rulers." The scriptures show that God judges nations as well as people. Irrespective of their imperfections, the Founders gave us a nation where Christians have the freedom and right to choose men of truth, who fear God and hate covetousness to govern this nation righteously.

There were deists, unitarians, Christians and other forms of religious beliefs represented in the framing of the Founding Documents. These men agreed, however, that the social contract of self government spawned from the inalienable rights endowed by the Creator, and the basic principles of our government were derived from the Bible. As Joseph said in Genesis 50:20, "But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive." Is this what God did through our Founders? Is our response as Christians measured in heaven by our actions personally and collectively as a people (nation)? Is the light of Christ to shine everywhere except in our nation's government? Are we not to overcome evil with good?

A nation in despair: Who is to blame?

A nation in despair: Who is to blame?

When the presidential candidate from Illinois said he wanted to remake America, a slight majority of Americans thought it was a good idea. And they voted him into office. Since then, gasoline prices have doubled; the housing market has crashed; the automobile industry has sucked billions out of the taxpayer's treasury; the Middle East has been destabilized in favor of terrorism; our boys are being killed at record numbers in Afghanistan; we have entered a war in Libya in league with the very terrorists we are fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan; the national debt and deficit have soared to record levels; the US Dollar is being replaced as the world's reserve currency; food prices have risen over 35%; and much more.

This government is spending our money, our children's money and their children's money into oblivion. This government is drunk on social programs to the point that most are either employed by it or are receiving from it. This government is promoting abortion at the expense of life; homosexuality at the expense of marriage; fiscal disaster at the expense of fiscal responsibility. Some are angry at Congress; others at the White House. Some just throw up their hands and say they can do nothing about it. Some say its God's judgment. Some want revolution. Some say the Church should not participate in government. Some say Christians should not be involved in government. Some are just so frustrated, they don't know what to do.

So who is to blame? If Thomas Jefferson was right that the tree of Liberty needs to be refreshed from time to time with the blood of tyrants and patriots, whereto do you aim the instrument of revolution? Jesus said in Matthew 7:4, 5, "Or how will you say to your brother, Let me pull out the log out of your eye; and, behold, a beam is in your own eye? You hypocrite, first cast out the beam from thine own eye; and then shall you see clearly to cast out the log out of your brother's eye." Want someone to blame for the problems of this nation? We all have responsibility in this. In place of our own personal civic duty we put hirelings who seduced us with vain words and destroyed us with evil actions.

You might say: I write my congressman; I sign petitions; I make phone calls. You do well. But this is not about politics. This is about the spiritual condition of the hearts of our countrymen. As Christians, we are called to the Great Commission. If we as Christians were doing what we were commanded to do--rather than being inwardly focused on self indulgent doctrines of man--this nation would not have abortion, nor would it exalt homosexuality, nor would it covet our money and property because the majority would know Christ and be disciples in the truest of ways. Just as the Liberty of Christ requires personal responsibility, civic responsibility is required in a representative government. Our passion for Christ is a reflection of this nation.

By their fruits you shall know them--The White House and Christ

In Matthew 7:15-16, Jesus warns, "Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits." He repeats again in verse 20, "Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them." Jesus also told a parable about an evil sharecropper. The landowner sent his son to collect the fruits owed him from the land. The farmer killed the son. When he finished the parable, Jesus said in Matthew 21:43 "Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof." Both as individuals and as a nation we are known by our fruits. Now discern from this recent exchange at the White House.

Since I have been old enough to notice, every American president has offered his countrymen a greeting or word of commemoration during the most sacred of Christian holidays--the passover meal, crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ. But not this year, and not this man who occupies the Oval Office. When asked about it Monday, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said, "You know, the President went to the church yesterday; it was well covered. I'm not sure if we put out a statement or not, but he obviously personally celebrated easter with his family and went to church to celebrate that." The reporter responded, "Wait a minute. The highest Christian holiday and you don't know if put out a statement?"

Carney continued, "I'm glad you're asking these key important questions, guys. The fact is, the President took his family to church in a very high-profile way to celebrate easter. I think it was highly visible to most Americans. And he -- as a devoted Christian, he believes it's a very important holiday for him personally, for his family and for Christians around the country." The White House press office evidently is very defensive about this as at the top of its website, it notes that the president delivered remarks about easter at a breakfast last week. He said something about easter last week, attended church for show--as he is not known for attending church--and he is a "devoted Christian."

Why do you suppose then, this president has issued greetings for every Muslim holiday since he has been in office, but has shunned many Christian prayer events, and even, as the reporter said, "The highest Christian holiday"? Are these the actions of a "devoted" Christian? Incidentally, the last question of Monday's news conference was about Franklin Graham saying that the president has some explaining to do regarding his birth record as well as The Muslim Brotherhood infiltrating every level of government. Carney replied: "I would just say I think it's unfortunate that a religious leader would choose Easter Sunday to make preposterous charges. And I'll leave it at that." And so will I.

Changing the course of dark destiny as children of light

The International Monetary Fund now forecasts that China will overtake the United States as the world's leading economy within the next five years. In anticipation of this economic event, China, along with Brazil, Russia, India and South Africa, has begun holding meetings to replace the dollar as the world's reserve currency. The last and present US Administrations purposely ran up the national debt to record levels that cannot be addressed without drastic measures by any future American leader. No economy can be sustained on such debt. The weakness of the US dollar is at the beginning stages of causing hyper-inflation never before seen by this generation of Americans. Our economy needs a miracle.

At the same time, there is a social revolution taking place in America. No one need look any further than Dearborn, Michigan as the tip of the spear. Any attempt to publicly discuss the intent of Islam, its laws, its culture is met with a complete shutdown of First Amendment protection of free speech. For fear of violence, peaceful protests of Islam are prohibited anywhere near its main mosque. Christians who have attempted to peacefully witness to Muslims there have been detained, their materials confiscated by the Muslim Chief of Police, who is also a member of the White House's Homeland Security Advisory Board. Our civil society needs a miracle.

Some Christians say America should go the way of God's judgment rather than we plead our cause for mercy. America, despite her blemishes, has been the beacon of The Great Commission to the world. There are countless examples in the scriptures that the Lord wishes his people to repent that he may restore their land. Chapters 20-22 of Ezekiel is such an example. And yes, my brethren, these scriptures do apply to Christians as even Romans 11:17-21 declares, "...and thou, being a wild olive tree, were grafted in among them, and with them partake of the root and fatness of the olive tree...Be not high minded, but fear: For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee."

The Lord said in Ezekiel 22:30, "And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it." We must gird ourselves and stan--for the last sentence in the verse says, "But I found none." For the sake of yourselves, and your children and their children, should we not seek God's mercy? Should we not boldly act as we are instructed by the scriptures? Romans 13:11,12 exhorts: "And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light." If only...

Are you part of the ruling class?

The Daily Jot

Are you part of the ruling class?

I praise the Lord each day that he died on the cross that we might be free from sin and have life everlasting. Galatians 5:1 says, "Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage." As we celebrate Passover and all that it means to mankind, we should be reminded that our freedoms are derived from the rights granted us by the one true God. As he led the Israelites out of the bondage of Egypt, he made them a free people and helped them establish a system of government among them where "able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness" were placed over the people to govern.

The Lord's work on the cross freed us from sin, and one of the benefits of this freedom is that we can be governed in the ways of God, his laws fulfilled and now written on our hearts. In simplification, this means that instead of being forced to keep the laws, we want to keep them as we are inspired by the love of God, who gave his only begotten Son that we might have everlasting life. There are spiritual principles here as well as physical principles. One of the physical principles is that we are endowed by our Creator with certain inalienable rights--life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Another benefit, is that we are part of the ruling class--Revelation 20:6 says we "shall be priests of God and of Christ and shall reign with him a thousand years."

The Founders of this nation said that the just powers of the government are derived from the consent of the governed. John Jay, the first Chief Justice of the Supreme Court said, "Providence has given our people the choice of their rulers, and it is the duty, as well as privilege and interest, of a Christian nation to select and prefer Christians for their rulers." But there is an alternative concept that there is a ruling class in America. On April 13, House minority leader Nancy Pelosi urged Republicans to "take back your party, so that it doesn't matter so much who wins the election because we have shared values about, again, the education of our children, the growth of our economy, how we defend our country."

Pelosi continued: "The fact is that elections shouldn't matter as much as they do, (there) should be some place on the spectrum where we respect each other's views and all the rest." In other words, once elected, the ruling class shall determine what is right irrespective of what is right in God's eyes. My point here is that this nation's government, brought about on the principles of God's gift of salvation and freedom to its citizens, was established that moral and Godly people would participate in their government. Without this accountability, as George Washington said, our nation would be "of fatal tendency." It is time to reflect on the blessings of our Lord and act accordingly.

Paying the price of our beliefs and apathy

The rising cost of oil as reflected at the nation's gasoline stations is but the first ramifications of a failed economic policy that will surely have a lasting impact on all Americans, their families and their livelihoods. The price of food; the price of goods; the price of everything will inflate beyond the imagination in the weeks and months to come. This is not only because of the surging price of oil, but also because of the huge record debt amassed by the federal government. If Americans did not understand that there are forces out to destroy this nation and the American Judeo-Christian way of life, it will become abundantly clear in the near future.

At gas stations in the Washington, DC area, gasoline prices have reached $5 a gallon or more. This reality hits every American squarely and it is tantamount to a huge governmental tax increase. On June 11, 2008, CNBC's John Harwood asked then senator Barack Obama if higher oil prices would help America reduce oil consumption. He replied: "I think that I would have preferred a gradual adjustment. The fact that this is such a shock to American pocketbooks is not a good thing. But if we take some steps right now to help people make the adjustment, first of all by putting more money in their pockets, but also by encouraging the market to adapt to these new circumstances more rapidly, particularly U.S. automakers..."

He said at a campaign gathering on August 1, 2008, "There are things that you can do individually though to save energy. Making sure your tires are properly inflated. Simple thing. But we could save. All the oil they're talking about getting off drilling, if everybody was just inflating their tires, and getting regular tune ups, you could actually save just as much." This is wrong minded thinking. This is the type of thinking that has gutted this nation and its people in a silent and deceptive war on our freedoms, our Constitution and our way of life. The foreign and domestic policies of this Administration, and to a certain extent the second four years of the Bush Administration, have resulted in secret national casualties beyond measure.

Our generation is in a huge hole. It is not one in that Americans can trust ruling class and godless politicians to bring us out. As we enter into these most holy days of the resurrection of Christ, we should be mindful that this judgment before us is as much self-inflicted as it is God's hand of protection moving away. Jesus died that we may no longer be in the bondage of sin. We should operate our lives as such, and as Jesus said in Matthew 5:16, "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." To turn this around, we must first repent. We must decide to stand in the gap for our nation. We must become radical Christians such that our light cannot be denied.

Birther issue aside, Constitution must be upheld

Birther issue aside, Constitution must be upheld

Only 26% of Iowa Republicans believe that the president was a properly born US citizen. Billionaire Donald Trump, who seems to be positioning for a presidential run, says he doesn't believe the president is a natural born citizen, and has hired an investigative team to learn more. The only ones who seem to be truly convinced that the president is a qualified citizen are those who do not hold in high regard the foundational principles of the Constitution. The president must not be clear on the issue either, though he says he is. Actions speak louder than words--he has spent over a million dollars in lawyers defending his position that he doesn't have to show his birth certificate. And herein is the real issue.

The Constitution of the United States declares in Article II Section 1: "No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty-five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States." It appears that throughout history that it was a non issue, until the 2008 election. Political parties certified that their candidates met the requirements to hold office and this normally was not questioned. It appears to be an honor system.

George Washington said in his 1796 Farewell Address: "The very idea of the power and the right of the people to establish government presupposes the duty of every individual to obey the established government. All obstructions to the execution of the laws, all combinations and associations, under whatever plausible character, with the real design to direct, control, counteract, or awe the regular deliberation and action of the constituted authorities, are destructive of this fundamental principle, and of fatal tendency. They serve to organize faction, to give it an artificial and extraordinary force; to put, in the place of the delegated will of the nation the will of a party, often a small but artful and enterprising minority of the community."

He continued to warn about political parties, saying, "they are likely, in the course of time and things, to become potent engines, by which cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men will be enabled to subvert the power of the people and to usurp for themselves the reins of government, destroying afterwards the very engines which have lifted them to unjust dominion." This is the issue if Article II Section 1 is not enforced by the states or by the Supreme Court. A question has been raised and for the sake of the Constitution, it should be answered. Jesus warned us in Matthew 24:4, "Take heed that no man deceive you." The supreme law of the land is being challenged and the people deserve an answer. Perhaps we should demand it?

White House Middle East Policy: Who is deceiving who?

The Daily Jot

Daily reporting and analysis of current events from a biblical and prophetic perspective.

White House Middle East Policy: Who is deceiving who?

If it wasn't so true, it would be fodder for a Hollywood movie either about the incompetency of the government or a conspiracy by America to help establish an Islamic Caliphate. ABC news reports the assistant director of FBI counter-terrorism Mark Giuliano told the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, "The governments of Tunisia, Egypt, Libya and Yemen have drastically changed in the last six months. They are now led by transitional or interim governments, military regimes, or democratic alliances with no established track record on counterterrorism efforts. Al Qaeda thrives in such conditions...countries in which governments may be sympathetic to their campaign of violence."

Within hours an al Qaeda video surfaced praising the uprisings in the Middle East as beneficial to the terrorist movement. al Qaeda's "Inspire", its English language magazine aimed at recruiting American Muslims, sported the cover title "The Tsunami of Change." The magazine, written by al Qaeda's leadership, outright rejects the White House assertion that the Middle East unrest is the winds of democracy. The Islamist view is of a different kind of freedom blowing across the desert. Editor Yahya Ibrahim writes: It is our opinion that the revolutions that are shaking the thrones of dictators are good for the Muslims, good for the mujahidin and bad for the imperialists of the West and their henchmen in the Muslim world."

In distinctly anti-American and anti-Israeli rhetoric, the al Qaeda leaders strongly believe that the regimes being toppled throughout the Middle East will result in an al Qaeda brand of freedom--the establishment of Sharia Law, freedom from America and Israel. In fact, the new interim government of Egypt is working to reestablish ties with Hezbollah, Hamas, Syria and Iran. It is consistently reported that the rebels in Libya are backed by al Qaeda. And these are people that the White House is supporting with hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars. The question Americans need to be asking is "Do we believe that our taxpayer dollars and involvement in destabilizing the Middle East are in America's best interest?"

The answer is obvious. There is a great deception taking place. Recent history shows that terrorists holding elections only results in terrorists being elected. Hamas in Gaza and the Palestinian Authority are examples. There is no peace. The White House seems to be more comfortable with Islamists than do the American people. Of course, the man in charge was raised and indoctrinated by Arab socialists. The American-supported destabilization of the Middle East appears to be playing into the hands of the terrorists. Romans 16:18 says avoid those who are contrary to the doctrines of Christ because they "by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple." Muslim freedom and Christian freedom are two different doctrines.

Perish or Prosper--your choice of Social Contracts

During the president's speech on fiscal policy this week, he made a curious remark. He characterized the Republican budget proposal of tax cuts and repealing socialized healthcare as being, "less about reducing the deficit than it is about changing the basic social compact in America." The Social Contract or "compact" as he put it is the foundational principle upon which the nation's government is based. The president has aggressively moved toward replacing the traditional Social Contract between Americans and their government by instituting a progressive, or socialist-based, Social Compact. He is saying that fiscal responsibility at the expense of social programs seeks to change the Social Compact.

The Social Contract between the governed and the government evolved from the times of Socrates. It is the recognition that the Laws of Nature grant mankind certain inalienable rights, especially liberty, security and property. And that man submits himself to a greater authority to protect those rights in a civil society. From the mid 1600s through the late 1700s, it was debated what type of government under the Social Contract was best. Many European philosophers believed the rule of a king, whose power was vested in him by God, was best. Other beliefs emerged that the rule of the majority, or democracy, was best. The Founding Fathers were the first to take these theories and invent a new form of government.

With the belief that God's law had endowed mankind with the rights to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness (originally the use of property ownership was included), the Founders developed a Constitutional Republic where the just powers of government were derived from the consent of the governed. Rather than a democracy, which they believed would lead to tyranny, they chose to establish the supreme law of the land--The Constitution--and protect the rights of the people by having them elect representatives to carry out the function of government according to the law. A limited government was to protect, or provide security to, the rights of the people. This is the "Social Contract" as the Founders envisioned it.

The president believes that those wanting limited government and fiscal responsibility changes his worldview of the "social compact." His belief is in the progressive social compact found in the Communist Manifesto, which abolishes religion and property ownership, and vests absolute power in government. Hence, his policies have altered private sector job creation, impacted property ownership through government mortgages, and is progressively making the majority of Americans dependent on the government for all their needs. This is the antithesis of the Founder's Social Contract. We must be an Exodus 18:21 people and choose leaders, "such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness" otherwise we will perish as a nation.

Sad day: When fiscal responsibility means changing the social compact with America

The Daily Jot

Sad day: When fiscal responsibility means changing the social compact with America

The Wall Street Journal characterized the president's speech on the budget by writing, "The speech he chose to deliver was dishonest even by modern political standards." WSJ points out the president used "blistering partisanship and multiple distortions" to "inoculate the White House from criticism that it is not serious about the fiscal crisis." The article points out that the president blamed the record budget deficits and national debt on others rather than taking responsibility for his own part, which was greater than any of the previous presidents. WSJ said that the president characterized opposing plans as un-American because Republicans are about "changing the basic social compact in America."

He never directly called for a tax increase, but reframed it in code. Now tax increases are called "spending reductions in the tax code." He said his plan "calls for tax reform to cut about $1 trillion in tax expenditures -- spending in the tax code." This means that he expects to increase taxes by a trillion dollars. He continued his class warfare theme. He said that he wants to eliminate tax deductions for the wealthiest two percent of Americans. Trouble is, he also wants to eliminate the home mortgage tax deduction, which impacts every home owner, smashing the American dream of property ownership. The centerpiece of the Communist Manifesto is for government to abolish property ownership.

He used the same worn out mantra of the Democratic playbook--terrorize the seniors by saying the big bad Republicans are going to cut your medicare and social security. But at the same time, he said "if we don't make any changes at all, we won't be able to keep our commitment to a retiring generation...." He mentioned that Ronald Reagan and Tip O'Neill "came together to save Social Security for future generations." I remember that. I was working then on Capitol Hill. There was an agreement that neither party would criticize the other in the announcement of their bipartisan decision. The first thing the Democrats did was say that Republicans wanted further cuts in social security.

The president's speech was tantamount to someone who was robbing your house. You caught him in the act and held him until the police came. He then sued you for physical and mental damages. This government is robbing you of your freedom to pursue happiness, even to own a home. Many will say that it is God's judgement on us for becoming such a sinful society. And that by encouraging others to take action against this socialist Leviathan is getting in the way of God's plan. Who am I that I can undermine the plan of the Almighty? Psalm 107:1,2 says the Lord's "mercy endures forever. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he has redeemed from the hand of the enemy." Let us repent, arise, and respond.

American crossroads: The prophetic future of complacency

The man who occupies the Oval Office will take to the airwaves Wednesday night to ostensibly inform Americans about the budget process and what needs to be done to fix it. Ostensibly, because in reality he is launching his reelection campaign and he will very craftily try to get buy in from the citizenry on tax increases to help pay down these historic and record breaking budget deficits he and a misguided Congress have created. He will use terms like "investment" and try to shame the "wealthy" into paying their own fair share. These are all code words for tax increases, and even more insidious, words of class warfare. Class warfare, pitting the nebulous rich against the less fortunate is classic socialist strategy.

Gasoline prices have surpassed $4 a gallon in many places. Food prices are soaring at levels not seen in 30 years. The consequences of this government not living within its means and robbing America of her wealth are about to come home to roost. And this man's plan is to raise taxes--in other words--rob America and Americans of more of their wealth. If the goal is to destroy capitalism and establish socialism, the fastest way to accomplish it is to bankrupt the country and make the people totally reliant on the government. The transfer of wealth from the people to the government is the linchpin in accomplishing the promised "Remaking of America." Invoking class warfare--casting rich vs poor--will set the stage.

In showing Moses how to govern properly, his father-in-law Jethro came to him with words of wisdom from the Lord. He said in Exodus 18:21, "Moreover thou shalt provide out of all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness; and place such over them, to be rulers of thousands, and rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens." This is the system after which the Founding Fathers of America modeled our Republic. The word "covetousness" in this passage means "plunder, unjust gain, lucre, profit, dishonest gain." Americans rejected this wisdom and elected men and women who do not fear God, who covet our enterprise, and who will lie to take it.

The consequences of these very actions mean that Americans could lose their nation, along with it our liberty, our way of life, our ability to pursue our inspirations. These are consequences of turning our backs on God, electing those who chose humanism in governance, and trusting godless liars with our national well being and security. Titus 1:10, 11 says, "For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision: Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake." God honors the hearts of his people. We must want our nation, our homes, more than the covetousness of the socialists and Islamists. Otherwise they will have them.

One more thing about Ivory Coast and Christian massacres

One more thing about Ivory Coast and Christian massacres

The situation in the Ivory Coast is not unlike many across West Africa. Problem is, we have a Muslim presidential candidate that claimed victory in Ivory Coast over a Catholic president. The Ivory Coast Constitutional Council said that the Muslim candidate could not be seated because of widespread voter fraud. The United Nations overruled the sovereignty of the Ivory Coast Constitutional Council determination and declared the Muslim candidate the winner. The Christian president said "no" and stayed in office. The Muslim raised an army and began killing supporters of the Christian president, who happen to be Christian. They were burned alive, hacked with machetes--women and children, too.

Redeem West Africa is a ministry that my friend and brother in Christ, William Agbeti and I started with the help of our local church. The ministry is aimed at raising up pastors and evangelists to go out to the rural areas of West Africa to show the love of Christ. The genesis of this ministry is that Muslims are taking over entire villages and requiring that all in the village convert to Islam in order to have jobs, food, housing and safety. The way its done is this: They move through a village demanding that the people accept Islam. They beat and rape the women and club the men into submission. Once they have established their authority, they demand that all convert to Islam or they cannot live in the village.

The local governments do not intervene because they are not strong enough to do so. Fearing civil war, fearing massive Islamic uprising, fearing violence on their own families, government leaders and tribal chiefs resist little and hope for the best. In the Ivory Coast, when Muslim candidate Ouattara didn't get his way, he started killing innocent people--these Muslims do not go after the soldiers in the military--they attack the unarmed, the weak, anybody that will show others that they, the Muslims, are ruthless enough to make good their threats. The United States has no business supporting such a group of butchers. But our president has cast his lot with the Muslim Brotherhood and other elements of evil.

As a Christian, I have no tolerance for the Islamic way. It is inhumane, brutal, and the antithesis of everything Christian. To counter this, I have put my support behind a ministry that reaches out with not only the word of Christ, but also the love of Christ with food for children and families and opportunities to help themselves. My African brother William has placed his life and the life of his family on the line for this cause. We are truly a Proverbs 31:9 brotherhood as we "plead the cause of the poor and needy." No amount of tolerance can be justified for the barbaric death cult of Islam. When America's government supports it in any way, it is supporting the system of the antichrist. We should demand otherwise.

White House supports Muslim "President" massacring Christians

White House supports Muslim "President" massacring Christians

The White House has spent nearly a billion dollars bombing Libya. The reason given Americans for this misadventure was that our country had to step in to prevent a tragic violation of humanitarian and civil rights. Al Qaeda backed rebels decided to topple the dictatorship of Moammar Khadaffi and Khadaffi decided not to go down without a fight. People got killed. The White House decided that America shouldn't stand by and let radical Muslims kill more radical Muslims. The president told Americans, "The United States of America is different. And as President, I refused to wait for the images of slaughter and mass graves before taking action." There is a deeper humanitarian crisis that the White House is ignoring.

Over the weekend there were reports of another 100 or more people massacred. According to the UK Guardian: "UN investigators have found more than 100 bodies in Ivory Coast, victims of what seem to have been ethnically motivated massacres. Some appeared to have been burned alive and others were thrown into a well, said a spokesman for the UN high commissioner for human rights. The killings occurred in three locations in western Ivory Coast and may have been carried out by Liberian mercenaries, according to the UN. The bodies were found on Thursday." There is much that this story does not tell you, and it is indicative of the deception of the news media, The White House, and the United Nations.

Because he could not meet the constitutional requirements of verifying that his parents were born in Ivory Coast and he was found to benefit from widespread voter fraud, Muslim presidential candidate Alassane Ouattara was disqualified by the Ivory Coast Constitutional Council. Catholic president Laurent Gbagbo was declared the winner by the Council. The UN, the White House, the European Union all recognized Muslim Ouattara as the winner. Ouattara raised a mercenary army and is systematically killing Christians in areas where supporters of the Catholic president Gbagbo live. He is marching through villages and murdering innocent men, women and children in an effort to take the presidency he says he won.

The president says he refuses to wait for images of slaughter and mass graves before taking action where Muslims are killing Muslims in civil war. Where is he in the Ivory Coast where Muslims are massacring innocent Christians? The media will not tell the truth. The UN supports Islam. Proverbs 21:10 says, "The soul of the wicked desires evil." Trouble is they hide the truth in their darkness. These people in Ivory Coast have no wealth, no means, and no champion. Americans should call shame upon the man they elected and stand in the gap for righteousness. Proverbs 31:9 says, "Open thy mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy." Justice is not only for the light skinned and the oil rich.

The prophetic reason America is worth fighting for

In reading the headlines of late--of war, of domestic unrest, of political calamity in America--many emails to The Daily Jot are falling into a couple of categories. First, a lot of people say that they just want the rapture to come and get them out of here so they do not have to deal with the world. Another group would say that God is in control of everything so why worry about America and what she does. God knows the plan, its his plan and he will work it no matter what we do. While these comments are on the hearts and minds of many, and at least some of the doctrine rings true, they are both misguided and wrong minded. I know I will step on a lot of toes here, just know that I do so out of love that you might not be deceived.

As for the rapture. The scriptures over and over tell us that we will not know the time or the season when the Lord will return. Acts 1:7, Jesus says, "It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power." The Apostle Paul writes in 1 Thessalonians 5:1, "But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write to you." Jesus said in Matthew 24:36, "But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only." Yes, we can discern the events of these days and know that we are close to the return of Jesus, but we are told to watch, pray, and be about his business. The rapture will come when God says, not when man wants it.

Yes, God is in control of the plan. But God has always worked through the actions of man. He judges nations. And nations are made up of leaders and followers. And we know that God shall judge the people. In Matthew 25 Jesus continues his discourse on the end times. In verses 31-33, He says, "When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats. And he shall set the sheep on his right hand but the goats on the left." He goes on to say how he will judge the nations. This specifically speaks of nations.

America is worth saving because it is still the one place on earth where there is freedom of speech and freedom of religion. Americans are blessed because they traditionally have been purveyors of the Great Commission and have been allies of God's people. There is judgment coming both for the nations and for the people. I for one would not want to stand before the Lord and have to answer to having a choice of leaders, but choosing ungodly leadership; I would not want to stand before the Lord and have to answer for not being about his business because I was waiting on a rapture. I would not want to stand before the Lord and have to answer for having the authority to overcome evil with good and not have used it. But that's just me.

The dire prophetic actions of the American president

The dire prophetic actions of the American president

On April 5, the man who occupies the Oval Office met with the oft leftist president of Israel Shimon Peres. The two had a "peace-fest" at the White House. The US president said, "That with the winds of change blowing through the Arab world, it's more urgent than ever that we try to seize the opportunity to create a peaceful solution between the Palestinians and the Israelis." Certainly, Israel has been pressured by the United States in ways that have not been done before to make peace with the terrorists who call themselves "Palestinians." In fact, the Middle East, with the help of the United States, in particular this White House, is becoming increasingly radicalized.

This has tremendous prophetic overtones. The traditional lands of the Bible, those now Islamic Arab nations God himself has said through the Bible that he will judge in the latter days, are all experiencing a shaking, a political unrest. In each case there is the common thread of America's new partner--the terrorist sponsoring Muslim Brotherhood. On March 31, State Department Analyst Lazlo Toth told FOX News, "It took time for us to convince some of the 'Old Guard' inside our intel agencies that we have no long-term quarrel with the Brothers, but this administration has been unrelenting about this, making a number of transfers and forced retirements in order to clear away irrational opposition to our new approach."

It is nearly inconceivable that a US president would assist traditional enemies of America and her greatest ally. But this president is. For all the talk about being a Christian and a supporter of Israel, the actions do not match up. The actions of this president are decisively Islamic, undoubtedly against America in every aspect of his Administration. A peace deal as it is on the table would split Israel into two pieces, divide the land. These peaceful "Palestinians" hurl hundreds of rockets into Israel today. They elected the terrorist group Hamas to represent their interests. Gaza, the first opportunity for Palestinians to live side by side with Israel in peace, has been a staging ground for killing Jews.

For the US president to use unrest as an urgent reason to create peace between Israel and the Palestinians is tantamount to establishing an exponentially hostile environment for Israel. A Palestinian state would only divide the land of Israel and give the terrorists a secure staging ground for more attacks. Daniel 11:39 gives us insight into the theology of the antichrist--the White House's true Middle East doctrine--"Thus shall he do in the most strong holds with a strange god, whom he shall acknowledge and increase with glory: and he shall cause them to rule over many, and shall divide the land for gain." I am not saying the president is the antichrist, but he is doing the bidding of the antichrist. Woe is America for going along with it.

The Prophecy of christ and the burning of the Koran

The Daily Jot

Daily reporting and analysis of current events from a biblical and prophetic perspective.

The prophecy of Christ and the burning of the Koran

On March 20, Florida Pastor Terry Jones burned a Koran. The press didn't cover it. 11 days later Muslims found out about it and used it as an excuse to embark on a worldwide bloodletting campaign. The Muslim anger boiled over in Afghanistan where some 12 people were killed when the angry Islamists stormed a United Nations compound. Now let us not forget that in May 2009 the United States military confiscated and burned Bibles in an attempt to appease Islamists in Afghanistan that the US military was not trying to convert Muslims to Christianity. There were no deaths associated with the Bible burnings. But since the Muslims found out about the burning of one Koran, there have been over 20 killed and dozens injured.

The reaction from the American government is disgraceful. While the White House directly condemned the violence, Press Secretary Jay Carney also said, "We absolutely condemn the burning of a holy text. We think it's un-American and inappropriate." General David Petraeus, commander of the forces in Afghanistan, said the Koran burning "was hateful, it was intolerant and it was extremely disrespectful and again, we condemn it in the strongest manner possible." The press was even more disgraceful. On MSNBC's Hardball former Democratic operative Chuck Todd and Time Magazine World editor Bobby Ghosh had a very unique exchange characterizing the Koran as more holy than the Bible.

Ghosh said, "The thing to keep in mind that`s very important here is that the Koran to Muslims, it is not - it is not the same as the Bible to Christians. The Bible is a book written by men. It is acknowledged by Christians that it is written by men. It`s the story of Jesus. But the Koran, if you are a believer, if you`re a Muslim, the Koran is directly the word of God, not written by man. It is transcribed, is directly the word of God. That makes it sacred in a way that it`s hard to understand if you`re not Muslim. So the act of burning a Koran is much more - potentially much, much more inflammatory than -" Todd interrupted, "directly attacking, directly attacking God." And Ghosh finished, "than if you were to burn a, burn a Bible."

Let it be clear that I do not support Pastor Jones' provocative action. I do not believe, however, it is un-American to burn the manual Islam is using to war with Israel and America. The Koran is not the holy word of God. It was written by a psychopathic pedophiliac warlord. American politicians and generals need to grow some backbone and say that anyone killing someone because of a book burning will be hunted down and killed like the thug they are. This incident is certainly indicative of what Jesus Christ prophesied in Matthew 24:8-9 when he said, "All these are the beginning of sorrows. Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake." And our government and media is fueling the flames.

Reflection of delusion--president's reelection announcement

Reflection of delusion--president's reelection announcement

The man who occupies the Oval Office officially launched his reelection campaign on Monday. It was done so with a video using various ethnic people talking about trust and change and wanting their man to finish what he has started. In announcing the video, the president sent an email to supporters. In it he wrote, "We've always known that lasting change wouldn't come quickly or easily. It never does. But as my administration and folks across the country fight to protect the progress we've made-and make more-we also need to begin mobilizing for 2012, long before the time comes for me to begin campaigning in earnest."

Let's take a look at how that change is working out. The government has expanded at unprecedented levels--taking over the home mortgage and auto industries with taxpayer funding. In that, the national debt has ballooned to record levels--some $14.27 trillion--or $128,446 per taxpayer, over $44,000 for every man, woman and child in America. Interest on the debt is $675,882 per family. In January 2009, gasoline prices stood at $1.84 per gallon. Today, prices have ascended over 100%, and continue to rise. Food prices have risen at the fastest pace since 1974. Home ownership is at its lowest level since 1998. Unemployment continues around 9%. For the first time in history, the president defends homosexuality over marriage.

Under the current White House, America's traditional allies have been sidelined as relationships with Islamic nations, terrorists and supporters of terrorists have been curried. The United States has supported, and reportedly actively participated in destabilizing the Middle East to the favor of the Muslim Brotherhood and al Qaeda. The US has entered a war in Libya that supports takeover by terrorists. Israel has been pressured relentlessly to give up land to the terrorists, and has been threatened with a lack of military support for not doing so. Muslims with questionable backgrounds have been appointed to high places in the Pentagon and at Homeland Security.

The very basis of his reelection campaign is to "fight to protect the progress we've made--and make more." One would have to be totally delusional to accept this as accomplishment. But there is one thing more than any other that disqualifies this man as fit for office. It is his statement on March 27, 2004 to Chicago Sun Times columnist Cathleen Falsani about his faith: "I am a Christian...I believe that there are many paths to the same place, and that is a belief that there is a higher power, a belief that we are connected as a people." In John 14:6, Jesus said, "I am the way and the truth and the life: no man comes unto the Father, but by me." The president has denied the deity of Christ. His presidency is a reflection of it.

The Islamic massacre in Ivory Coast--Type and shadow of America?.

The Islamic massacre in Ivory Coast--Type and shadow of America?

Most people have heard that there was a massacre of some 1,000 people in the small West African country of Ivory Coast. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said the United States is "deeply concerned" about the protection of human rights there and has called for President Laurent Gbagbo to step down immediately to prevent further slaughtering of innocents. But the United States, the United Nations and Europe seem to be on the wrong end of this political quagmire that is rift with parallels to the 2008 elections in the United States and perhaps a glimpse of what can go wrong when people do not honor the laws of God and keep the Constitutional laws of a sovereign nation.

It is the forces of Alassane Ouattara who are slaughtering people by the hundreds in villages across the Ivory Coast. He is the man that the White House and the United Nations is supporting. Ouattara was a candidate in the 2010 Ivory Coast presidential election. And he claimed victory. The president, Gbagbo, however, has not conceded the election, bringing death and destruction throughout the country. The problem is very similar to America. To be president of the Ivory Coast, one's parents must both be born there. Ouattara, a Muslim, claims that he and his parents are of native birth. But he was accused of forging his nationality certificate issued in September 1999. In fact, it was annulled by the court a month later.

Ouattara was disqualified from the country's 2000 presidential election because he did not meet the Constitutional requirement of his birth. He ran again in 2010 anyway, claiming to win. Amid voter fraud claims, however, the nation's Constitutional Council, which officially validates the elections, said 500,000 of Ouattara's votes were disqualified. Gbagbo has remained president despite tremendous pressure from the UN and the US to step down. He says its a matter of national sovereignty. Since then, Gbagbo has been accused of instituting death squads that kill Ouattara supporters but in reality, Ouattara's forces have been killing people--killing Christians as Gbagbo is a Catholic.

The dispute in the Ivory Coast began with a Muslim who was ineligible to run for president because he could not prove his birth records, continued with voter fraud to the point that the nation's Constitutional Council invalidated the election, and now has turned into a Muslim slaughter of Christians. This lawlessness and usurping of power by Muslims is widespread and takes many forms. In reality, it comes from people denying God as Islam is a direct denial of God. Joshua 24:20 says, "If you forsake the Lord, and serve strange gods, then he will turn and do you harm, and consume you, after that he hath done you good." Its time for us to wake up, the man occupying the Oval Office announced his bid for reelection today.

The seeds we sow: When the government lies

In the weeks leading up to the US attack on Libya, Reuters and the New York Times report that the White House authorized the CIA to provide arms, and locate ammunition dumps and weapons arsenals to the rebels. While CIA operatives are not considered ground troops, ground troops are on the way to Libya. This, despite consistent reports that the rebels were joined by al Qaeda operatives and Libyan mercenaries who fought against US soldiers in Iraq. Later the CIA was calling in coordinates for the US air strikes against the Libyan government's forces advancing on the rebels. Yet the president promised in his Libya speech he was "going after al Qaeda wherever they seek a foothold."

The White House told the American people, and the world for that matter, that it was assisting the Egyptian people in overthrowing the Mubarek government in the name of democracy. The president said that the people of Egypt wanted freedom and that was why they were rebelling. Yet democracy was only the platform the terrorist sponsoring Muslim Brotherhood used to take power. Now, in just a few days, Egypt has turned from a nation at peace with Israel to one that is strengthening ties with terrorists who seek Israel's and America's destruction. Egypt's new Foreign Minister Nabil Al-Arabi says his country "will turn over a new leaf" and seek diplomatic ties with Iran and talks with Hezbollah.

In recent weeks, the Congressional Budge Office reports that the White House public projections of the budget deficit were understated by $2.3 trillion--or a mere $80,000 per American household. AP reported, "The estimate from the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office says that if Obama's February budget submission is enacted into law it would produce deficits totaling $9.5 trillion over 10 years - an average of almost $1 trillion a year." Last November the president said, "American taxpayers are now positioned to recover more than my administration invested in GM." A March 16 Congressional Oversight report, says however, that $25 billion of the deal will never be paid back to taxpayers.

There are countless other examples of bold face lies by this Administration from health care to law enforcement to employment figures and on and on. This is a direct result of the American populace buying in to the concept of separation of church and state. The Founding Fathers followed the guidelines provided Moses in setting up this Constitutional Republic. Exodus 18:21 says, "Moreover thou shalt provide out of all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness and place such over them (the people)..." We have abandoned the principles of fearing God, of truth and hating covetousness in choosing our leaders. Therefore we get no wisdom, lies, and financial malfeasance.
