China emerging as end time powerhouse with US in crosshairs
Americans better take a long hard look at China. Private estimates by MIT indicate that China holds up to $2.4 trillion of US debt, twice as much as estimated by the federal government. If China called its debt, the US would face untenable economic choices. Meantime, China is becoming more and more aggressive against the US in various foreign policy venues. For example, China is entering the Middle East as a major player. DEBKAfile reports that Turkey, Iran and Syria are participating together in a military intelligence alliance that is held together by China. In fact, China replaced the US and Israel as a participant in the Turkey Air Force's annual exercise this year with Chinese warplanes in the skies.
Moreover, the Chinese planes refueled on their way to Turkey at the Gayem al-Mohammad air base in central Iran. It is reported that the planes' crews were welcomed by the Iranian air force commander. China has been a known technology partner in building Iranian missile systems as well as the Iranian nuclear program. The refueling of Chinese warplanes, however, was reported as surprising to the politicians in Washington, DC. China is also in the shadows of Pakistan's nuclear program. The Administration is upset by Chinese plans to build two nuclear reactors in Pakistan, bypassing international rules that bar the sale of nuclear equipment to states not participating in the Nuclear non-Proliferation Treaty.
In addition, no-friend to the US, George Soros, is warning that a global "currency war" pitting China versus the rest of the world could lead to the collapse of the world economy. Soros told BBC Radio 4's Today program that China had a "huge advantage" over international competitors because it can control the value of its currency. He said China could also influence the value of other world currencies because they have a "chronic trade surplus", which means the Chinese have a lot of foreign currencies. He said, "They control not only their own currency but actually the entire global currency system." Indeed, China warned that the US should not blame China for its economic problems from a weak dollar.
The current US president said in a recent assessment of Chinese military strength that "[the U.S.-China] relationship has not been without disagreement and difficulty. But the notion that we must be adversaries is not pre-destined." While it may not be pre-destined, it may be inevitable. China holds trillions of dollars of US debt, has funded its military on a $200 billion plus a year trade deficit with the US, manipulates its currency, and assists all the enemies of America, including terrorists. This is not accounting for the millions of forced abortions, human rights violations and religious persecution perpetrated by China. Proverbs 27:6 says, "Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful." Do not be deceived.

FOX's "Glee" offensive, but reflects sad element of truth for today's prophetic times
Christians and Jews should be offended by the portrayal of their faiths by the pro-gay agenda television program Glee, aired on FOX October 5th. The episode centered around religion and how most of the cast of Glee did not believe in God. That said, many of them thought they believed in God, but their concept of God was so misguided that it reminds us of the condition of the modern Church. Notwithstanding, true believers ought to boycott the show and its sponsors--Toyota, Sprint and American Express. The religion that got a pass on this show was Islam--probably because the producers knew that ridiculing the Muslims would have resulted in riots and deaths from the man-hallowed "religion of peace."
The main character, Quinn, burns his grilled cheese sandwich in the microwave, which emerges with the face of Jesus on it. Quinn started praying to the "Grilled Cheesus" for things like winning football games and having sexual relations with his Jewish girlfriend. When his so called "prayers" were answered, it caused quite a discussion among the Glee club members. Quinn said that a man had come into his life. Another guy commented that Quinn was finally coming out of the closet. Then Quinn said it was Jesus. And the same guy said, "That's even worse." The cast then trumpeted the benefits of God--being close to God because "I fall asleep when I pray." Or "I see God every time I make out with a new chick."
The flaming homosexual, Kurt, says he is an atheist. He says he doesn't go to church, "The reason I don't go to church is because most churches don't think very much of gay people. Or women. Or science." Kurt's father has a heart attack and goes into a coma. Much of the program focuses on how the Glee cast wants to pray for the father and the homosexual trying everything but God to save his father--even acupuncture from a Sikh. Kurt ends up in this powerful scene apologizing to his father for not allowing his friends to pray for him and saying, "I don't believe in God, dad, but I believe in you and I believe in us--you and me--that's what is sacred to me."
In the end, the cast is all together singing a contemporary version of "God is great," giving the impression that they all found their own way to God. The producers certainly wanted to ridicule Christianity and Judaism and then give the audience a Hollywood-style version of religion that everyone has their own path to God, whatever they decide. This is no trivial matter. 2 Chronicles 36:16 says, "But they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and misused his prophets, until the wrath of the LORD arose against his people, till there was no remedy." Galatians 6:7 says, "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man sows, that shall he also reap."

The company of evil has its day in the Washington, DC sun
On October 2, there was a rally in Washington, DC. It wasn't a very big rally, but it was very revealing. The mainstream media contrasted the rally of about a month ago where over half a million people gathered to honor the United States and to call for a return to family values, conservatism and strict interpretation of the Constitution. The news media wouldn't venture a guess as to how many showed up for the October 2 rally, but those who observed it say less than 10,000 were in attendance. Many of the current White House appointees, former appointees and supporters were at the rally. While the numbers in attendance are an indication of the support for these groups, it is more important to understand this mix.
The October 2 rally was organized by progressives, communists and socialists. These are the people who have a view of America that is the antithesis to the true national identity of America, why it was founded, and how it became great. In other words, and I know this is harsh, the organizers and most of those who attended were anti-American. For example, what does the Gay, Lesbian, Straight Education Network, Queers for Economic Justice, the Mass Transgender Political Coalition and the American Muslim Association of America have in common? Islamic law calls for putting homosexuals to death. What they have in common is their hate for what holds America together--her national identity as a Christian nation.
What does the National Education Association have in common with Americans for Democratic Action, Committee of Correspondence for Democracy and Socialism, Communist Party USA, Democratic Socialists of America, Humanist Party New York City Chapter, International Socialist Organization, Left Labor Project, and the Green Party? Everything. They are all anti-American socialist and communist organizations that wish to force their totalitarian principles down the throats of true Americans. And the National Education Association is the arm of this coalition that is dedicated to brainwashing your children and grandchildren through ideological subversion and the laurels of utopian communist society.
Moreover, what does the National Baptist Convention, USA and the United Methodist Church have in common with Sojourners and the Unitarian Universalist Association of Congregations? They have bought into the lie that socialism is a tenet of the Christian faith. Now all these groups sponsored this socialist, anti-American gathering in our Nation's Capitol. They are united in remaking America into their image of utopia--a communist society. I Corinthians 15:33 says, "Be not deceived: evil companionships corrupt good moral habits." These are evil companionships. Ask yourself: how are they influencing the lives of those I love? Then seek righteousness with a passion.

Recent events bring Gog/Magog prophecy into play
In Ezekiel 38, the LORD speaks of a war where Gog leads Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya to "come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes (38:16)." The conventional wisdom is that Gog is Russia, Persia is Iran, Ethiopia and Libya are Northern Africa. And this war is a major event marking the end time prophecies. In recent weeks, announcements in the news media point toward that development as Russia is reestablishing itself as a supplier of weapons and weapons technology.
Consider that Russia, when it was the Soviet Union, once held strong ties to the terrorist Middle East especially with support and weapons sales to the Palestinian Liberation Organization, now the Palestinian Authority, and to Iran, Syria, Egypt, Jordan, Libya and more. When President Reagan's policies bankrupted the Soviet military machine and dispersed the Soviet empire, those relationships in the Middle East were put on hold. But since Russia has recovered economically and its military industry is once again thriving, it is making new headway with the dark side of the Middle East--Islam. Russia, however, is taking a more aggressive, deceptive and ultimately dangerous approach.
For nearly a decade, Russia has been playing a cat and mouse diplomatic game to block sanctions against Iran for its nuclear program. All the while, Russia and China were supplying Iran with nuclear materials, nuclear technology and missile technology. Now Russia has flipped the switch on its so-called nuclear energy plant in Iran. Meanwhile, Iran is under useless sanctions from the United Nations and the United States for its nuclear weapons program. Indeed, Russia's diabolical plan is about to advance as Iran has vowed to share its nuclear technology with other Islamic nations. Meanwhile, Russia is arming the enemies of Israel.
Interfax news agency reports that Russia will be selling some 72 cruise missiles to Syria. In May, Russia also agreed to supply Syria with its MiG-29 fighter jets, Pantsir short-range air defense systems and armored vehicles. AFP reports that senior Israeli government officials are calling the Russian move irresponsible and a threat to the strategic balance in the region. Of particular concern for Israel is Syria's relationship with Iran and terrorist organizations such as Hezbollah, both of which have vowed to destroy Israel. For those who watch the prophecy clock, keep your eyes on Israel, Russia and Syria. For Isaiah 17:1 prophesies Damascus will someday be a "ruinous heap."

Nationwide Government spy network on Christians, conservatives revealed in Pennsylvania
Pennsylvania Democratic Governor Ed Rendell says he is "deeply embarrassed" by the public disclosure that Homeland Security put information about anti-gay and tax protesters on a list of possible terrorist threats. No matter how he is trying to spin it, Rendell's administration had hired an outside firm to track the public and lawful protests of those who disagreed with the governor's positions and policies. Then the information was sent to law enforcement officials and eventually the information made its way to the state's Homeland Security department. Those who protested higher taxes, for example, were reported as possible terrorist threats and were put on the list. Now the governor is embarrassed.
The governor and his staff are scurrying around like rats in a bright light trying to get their stories straight on whether some of the information could have been "questionable." The private group the governor used to gather this information is the Institute of Terrorism Research and Response. It gives its mission on its website: "Our US-based experts specialize in facing and overcoming domestic forms of terrorism like environmental, ecological, anti-abortion, anti-government, and "home-grown" religious extremism." If you support limited government, oppose high taxes, are a pro-life Christian, and are against homosexuality, this group has been spying on you as a possible terrorist threat for the Pennsylvania government.
This brings to mind when the man who occupies the Oval Office released a Homeland Security report in 2009 just ahead of April 15 Taxed Enough Already (TEA) parties that were planned across the nation. Tens of thousands of TEA party attendees were warned on April 14 by this release that Homeland Security considered those who favored border control, the preservation of life and individual liberties as "racist radicals" and "right wing extremists". The report also held that some Christians were considered terrorists. This is a radical pattern. It begs the question as to how many other state's are doing the same thing, and what is the federal government's involvement? What private firms are spying on us?
Jesus said in John 15:20, "Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also." If you keep the word of God in your life, you are now on this nation's watch list. From what you post on Facebook to your license plate in a church parking lot, this government, state and federal, considers you a terrorist threat. The very people who founded this nation would be considered terrorists by this government. Where does that put you and me?

A small fire that could torch the earth
A small church in Florida is making worldwide headlines by threatening to burn some 200 Korans on September 11, the anniversary of the 9-11-2001 terrorist attacks where Muslims killed nearly 3,000 innocent Americans. Reuters is reporting that thousands of angry Afghans protested against the background of black smoke billowing skyward. The president of Indonesia has asked the government of the United States to intervene and stop the planned desecration of the Islamic holy book. The man who occupies the Oval Office has stated his opposition as has the Secretary of Defense and the general in charge of the war in Afghanistan against the Taliban Muslims.
The church's website has been shut down by its hosting service, which said that the church violated its "Offensive Content" section of the hosting contract. Major news outlets, including FOX News and AP, have declared they will not cover the burning in any way. INTERPOL, the world's largest international police organization, issued a global alert to its 188 member countries following the request of Pakistan's Minister of the Interior, and its own determination, that if the proposed Koran burning goes ahead as planned, there is a strong likelihood that violent attacks on innocent people would follow. The United States is a member of INTERPOL.
There are many issues arising out of this story. News organizations, by refusing to cover something they deem as offensive are shirking their duty to cover news--the definition of which has always been what is timely and of interest to the audience. The internet host Rackspace is limiting free speech by disconnecting the church website for offensive content, but Rackspace openly admits in its business plan that it could be liable for illegal acts such as online gambling and pornography that content providers pass through its hosting services. In other words, pornography is not offensive, but burning Korans is. Free speech is only free if the powers in place are not offended by it. Such hypocrisy.
Nevertheless, the burning of the Korans is a bad idea. It could result in more Islamic killings of innocent people or US servicemen. It is also counter to the commandment of Jesus Christ found in Mark 16:15, "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." This provocation by burning the Koran sets back any evangelical outreach Christians have in the Islamic world. I am not for appeasing Islam, nor do I believe Islam is a legitimate religion that should benefit from first amendment protection, but senseless provocation is unwarranted. One other issue: If Christians were as passionate about preaching the gospel as Muslims are about their book of lies, the world would be a better place.
