When a large segment of the population is facing a drastic cut in income in the face of escalating food prices we have a catastrophic problem in the making. Today we have the simultaneous events of income deflation and food inflation; two high-speed express trains coming down that tracks at each other, a financial crisis colliding with staggering crop losses, which are cutting deeply into available planetary food reserves. Prices of food are again beginning to soar again just as millions are losing the ability to afford a reasonable diet, though little of this is being observed or reported. But soon even the blind will see.
From corn to crude, prices for a wide range of commodities are on the rise across the globe. In recent months, global food prices have been growing at a rate that rivals some of the wildest monthsof 2008, when food riots erupted across the developing world. - January 9th Wall Street Journal
The cold is again freezing oranges in Florida. Temperatures in Miami dropped to 36F; beating the record 37F set in 1938. Officials are saying that hundreds of millions of dollars of food perished. Vegetables were among the hardest hit. At least one major tomato grower, Ag-Mart Produce, has already declared that most of its Florida crop is “useless due to the freeze.” Other vegetable farms were expected to lose their entire crop, and wholesale prices have already increased. “Tomatoes were down around $14 for a 25-pound box; now they are up over $20,” said Gene McAvoy, an agriculture expert with the University Florida, who predicted $100 million in vegetable losses. “Peppers — just after New Year’s they were $8 a box; now they’re up around $18.”
White sugar climbed to the highest price in at least two decades in London on speculation that India, Pakistan and other importers will purchase more of the sweetener as a supply deficit looms. Excess rains in Brazil and a weak monsoon in India hurt sugar-cane output from the world’s two biggest growers. - January 20, 2010
The world faces “mass starvation” following North America’s next major crop failure. And it could even happen before year’s end. So says Chicago-based Don Coxe, who is one of the world’s leading experts on agricultural commodities, so much so that Canada’s renowned BMO Financial Group named the fund after him. A crop failure in North America will have particularly dire consequences for major overseas markets that are highly reliant on U.S. crop imports.
Scientists in England are warning that a “perfect storm” of food shortages and water scarcity now threatens to unleash public unrest and conflict, the government’s chief scientist, Professor John Beddington, has warned. “People do not quite realise the scale of the issue,” said Professor Mike Bevan. “This is one of the most serious problems that science has ever faced.” In Britain the lives of hundreds of thousands of people will be threatened by food shortages. The repercussions of food shortages for any society are devastating. The world faces “mass starvation” following more major crop failures in the United States and other places around the globe.
We are facing a problem that literally has never been faced in human history. Surging population and food demand, food inflation, diminishing world food stocks, drought, flooding, cold, diminished credit, infestations, soil erosion, industrial farming, factory farm pollution, aquifers/wells going dry, relocation of produce for energy production are all slamming into a global financial and economic crisis. And in some places like the United States they don’t have enough farmers. Then on top of everything else we have desertification, which is one of the world’s most pressing environmental issues. New deserts are growing at a rate of 20,000 square miles (51,800 square kilometers) a year. Desertification leads to famine, mass starvation and human migration.
According to Eric de Carbonnel, “There is overwhelming, undeniable evidence that the world will run out of food next year. The 2010 Food Crisis is going to be different. It is the crisis that will make all doomsday scenarios come true. Early in 2009, the supply and demand in agricultural markets went badly out of balance. The world experienced a catastrophic fall in food production as a result of the financial crisis (low commodity prices and lack of credit) and adverse weather on a global scale. Normally food prices should have already shot higher months ago, leading to lower food consumption and bringing the global food supply/demand situation back into balance. This never happened because the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), instead of adjusting production estimates down to reflect decreased production, adjusted estimates upwards to match increasing demand from china. In this way, the USDA has brought supply and demand back into balance (on paper) and temporarily delayed a rise in food prices by ensuring a catastrophe in 2010.”
According to the United States Department of Agriculture U.S. farmers produced the largest corn and soybean crops on record in 2009. And there are people who believe that anyone who believes government figures on anything concerning the economy or anything else is out to lunch.
Very few people in the US have given any serious consideration to the question of food security. This essay should convince people that its time to start. For the most part, we’re not aware of the problem but if we look hard at the ‘hidden’ news we see that the handwriting is on the wall for an unimaginable crisis that will come on us as early as this year.
More than 2.1 million hectares of grain have been destroyed by drought in 2009 in Russia, Agriculture Minister Yelena Skrynnik said. A total of 616,000 hectares have been destroyed in the region, or 70% of the total amount planted.
“The world is blissfully unaware that the greatest economic, financial and political crisis ever is a few months away. It takes only the tiniest bit of research to realize something is going critically wrong in the agricultural market. All someone needs to do to know the world is headed for food crisis is to stop reading USDA’s crop reports predicting a record soybean and corn harvests and listen to what else the USDA is saying.
Specifically, the USDA has declared half the counties in the Midwest to be primary disaster areas, including 274 counties in the last 30 days alone. These designations are based on the criteria of a minimum of 30 percent loss in the value of at least one crop in the county,” continues de Carbonnel.

Scientists tag animals to monitor their behavior and keep track of endangered species. Now some futurists are asking whether all of mankind should be tagged too. Looking for a loved one? Just Google his microchip.
The chips, called radio frequency identification (RFID) tags, emit a simple radio signal akin to a bar code, anywhere, anytime. Futurists say they can be easily implanted under the skin on a person’s arm.
Already, the government of Mexico has surgically implanted the chips, the size of a grain of rice, in the upper arms of staff at the attorney general’s office in Mexico City. The chips contain codes that, when read by scanners, allow access to a secure building, and prevent trespassing by drug lords.
In research published in the International Journal of Innovation and Sustainable Development, Taiwanese researchers postulate that the tags could help save lives in the aftermath of a major earthquake. "Office workers would have their identity badges embedded in their RFID tags, while visitors would be given temporary RFID tags when they enter the lobby," they suggest. Similarly, identity tags for hospital staff and patients could embed RFID technology.
“Our world is becoming instrumented,” IBM’s chairman and CEO, Samuel J. Palmisano said at an industry conference last week. “Today, there are nearly a billion transistors per human, each one costing one ten-millionth of a cent. There are 30 billion radio RFID tags produced globally.”
Having one in every person could relieve anxiety for parents and help save lives, or work on a more mundane level by unlocking doors with the wave of a hand or starting a parked car -- that's how tech enthusiast Amal Graafstra uses his. But this secure, “instrumented” future is frightening for many civil liberties advocates. Even adding an RFID chip to a driver’s license or state ID card raises objections from concerned voices.
Tracking boxes and containers on a ship en route from Hong Kong is OK, civil libertarians say. So is monitoring cats and dogs with a chip surgically inserted under their skin. But they say tracking people is over-the-top -- even though the FDA has approved the devices as safe in humans and animals.
“We are concerned about the implantation of identity chips,” said Jay Stanley, senior policy analyst for the speech, privacy and technology program at the American Civil Liberties Union. He puts the problem plainly: “Many people find the idea creepy.”
“RFID tags make the perfect tracking device,” Stanley said. “The prospect of RFID chips carried by all in identity papers means that any individual’s presence at a given location can be detected or recorded simply through the installation of an invisible RFID reader.”
There are a number of entrepreneurial companies marketing radio tracking technologies, including Positive ID, Datakey and MicroChips. Companies started marketing the idea behind these innovative technologies a few years ago, as excellent devices for tracking everyone, all the time.
Following its first use in an emergency room in 2006, VeriChip touted the success of the subdermal chip. "We are very proud of how the VeriMed Patient Identification performed during this emergency situation. This event illustrates the important role that the VeriChip can play in medical care," Kevin McLaughlin, President and CEO of VeriChip, said at the time.
“Because of their increasing sophistication and low cost, these sensors and devices give us, for the first time ever, real-time instrumentation of a wide range of the world's systems -- natural and man-made,” said IBM's Palmisano.
But are human's "systems" to be measured?
Grassroots groups are fretting loudly over civil liberties implications of the devices, threatening to thwart their development for mass-market, human tracking applications.
“If such readers proliferate, and there would be many incentives to install them, we would find ourselves in a surveillance society of 24/7 mass tracking,” said the ACLU's Stanley.
The controversy extends overseas, too. David Cameron, Britain's new prime minister, has promised to scrap a proposed national ID card system and biometrics for passports and the socialized health service, options that were touted by the Labour Party.
"We share a common commitment to civil liberties, and to getting rid -- immediately -- of Labour's ID card scheme," said Cameron according to ZDNet UK.
These controversies are impacting developers. One firm, Positive ID, has dropped the idea of tracking regular folks with its chip technology. On Wednesday, the company announced that it had filed a patent for a new medical device to monitor blood glucose levels in diabetics. The technology it initially developed to track the masses is now just a “legacy” system for the Del Ray Beach, Fla., firm.
“We are developing an in-vivo, glucose sensing microchip,” Allison Tomek, senior vice president of investor relations and corporate communications, told FoxNews.com. “In theory it will be able to detect glucose levels. We are testing the glucose sensor portion of the product. It will contain a sensor with an implantable RFID chip. Today’s patent filing was really about our technology to create a transformational electronic interface to measure chemical change in blood.”
Gone are the company’s previous ambitions. “Our board of directors wants a new direction,” says Tomek. “Rather than focus on identification only, we think there is much more value in taking this to a diagnostic platform. That’s the future of the technology -- not the simple ID.”
The company even sold off some of its individual-style tracking technology to Stanley Black and Decker for $48 million, she said.
These medical applications are not quite as controversial as the tracking technologies. The FDA in 2004 approved another chip developed by Positive ID’s predecessor company, VeriChip, which stores a code -- similar to the identifying UPC code on products sold in retail stores -- that releases patient-specific information when a scanner passes over the chip. Those codes, placed on chips and scanned at the physician’s office or the hospital, would disclose a patient’s medical history.
But like smart cards, these medical chips can still be read from a distance by predators. A receiving device can "speak” to the chip remotely, without any need for physical contact, and get whatever information is on it. And that’s causing concern too.
The bottom line is simple, according to the ACLU: “Security questions have not been addressed,” said Stanley. And until those questions are resolved, this technology may remain in the labs.

Definition of Revivalution; Are you a Revivalutionary?
Many people have emailed me or even called on the phone to ask how they can make a difference in this society that seems hell bent. They see that their phone calls, town hall meetings, and writing of letters to their elected office holders has no impact. They are distraught that their government is spending their heritage. They are discouraged that the moral condition of the nation seems to fall deeper and deeper into the abyss. They just do not see the way to survive as an individual, a family or even as a nation. Many are just resolved that a rapture or the second coming of Christ is their only hope in a world that is unable to come to sensible conclusions about any issue.
I believe the that our hope is found in that old time religion of our fathers and forefathers--that trust in God and His word that serves as a moral, economic and spiritual plumb line to absolute truth. I believe that we as a nation need a revival. But it is not only a revival of the soul which begins with repentance, it is also a revival that reverses, or deprograms, us from the ideological subversion we have been subject to for generations. If truly this revival will reverse the direction of demoralization resulting from liberal humanism it will become revolutionary. Hence we need a Revivalution--a mixture of revival and revolution that will renew us in Christ as individuals first, then our families, our friends, neighbors, communities and so on.
The definition of Revivalution is a movement where God's people are transformed by the renewing of their minds that they might prove the perfect will of God by revolutionizing the entirety of their environment. A Revivalutionary commits to the absolute truth of God to hold himself and those around him accountable thus sustaining a revolutionary movement. The goal of the Rvivalution is to change the heart of oneself first then transfer this transformation to others through power evangelism. The Revivalutionary will honestly assess his self, understand where he is in the world, and determine a Christ-based path for personal revival and transformation, and then impart this renewal to others.
Now I know that many of us will say, "Self, I am doing all the things that God has called me to do. I am not breaking the 10 Commandments. I am a good person. I am not part of the problem." I will suggest in all humility that if we are not completely in Christ, and actively sharing this salt and light with the world, we are part of the problem, not part of the solution. This introspective has to be honest before God. We must first repent. We must shed the winds of doctrine and become mature, even more than we are, that we might walk uprightly and "speak boldly as I ought to speak (Ephesians 6:20)." It is time. I wish to invite you to join me on a weekly journey to the Revivalution.

NEW YORK – A U.S. plan envisions stationing international troops along Israel's border with a future Palestinian state, WND has learned.
Palestinian Authority officials privy to the plan say the Obama administration proposed deploying NATO soldiers along the Palestinian side of a future border with Israel as well as along the borders of Jordan and any future Palestinian state.
Israeli government sources confirmed such a plan has been proposed.
The sources said the concept is not exclusive to the Obama administration. Both Presidents Clinton and Bush broached the idea of stationing international troops along the borders of a future Palestinian state.

International troops and monitors do not boast a positive track record in fulfilling their protective duties on behalf of Israel.
Monitors previously stationed along the Gaza-Egypt border fled their duties multiple times amid Hamas threats and attacks. The monitors were deployed to report any instances of weapons smuggling or terrorist infiltration along the border.
Also, following the Second Lebanon War in 2006, about 15,000 soldiers under the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon, or UNIFIL, deployed in South Lebanon with the objective of ensuring a truce between Israel and Hezbollah as well as to stop the Hezbollah terror group from rearming.

According to reports, Hezbollah, with international troops present, has acquired more rockets and sophisticated weaponry from Syria and Iran than before the 2006 war. The group reportedly has enough rockets to blanket Israeli population centers for a prolonged period of time.
Israeli security officials told WND the Israeli army routinely passes to UNIFIL commanders aerial photographs and video images of Hezbollah weapons smuggling routes. But with few exceptions, the international forces have not taken action.
The security officials are concerned the UNIFIL forces could get in the way and impede any future Israeli defensive action needed against Hezbollah.

The Great American Revival of the 21st Century
Americans need to understand something--that we are in a war for our very own survival. And that there are many fronts on this war. One front is Islamic aggression--either through terrorist acts, the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan or by colonization here stateside. Another front is from Mexico, where that nation is encouraging its people to come to America illegally and colonize it in order to repatriate formerly held Mexican territories. Still another front is the Marxist attempt to demoralize and destabilize our nation from within--it is an attack on the economy, the morals, the education, the religion and the freedoms held in the US Constitution.
It would seem that we as Americans have lost our bearing. Many have given in to the longstanding strategy of the leftists to embrace that America and who she is, what she is, is bad and has done more bad than good. Many have given in to the strategy of the leftists that homosexuality, which is nothing more than sexual perversion, is a protected class of people. But Reagan gave America hope, not a false hope of government bail outs, government ownership of healthcare, the financial industry, the insurance industry, the auto industry, but a hope based in the inalienable rights endowed by our Creator of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. He did not believe that the government should be giving hard earned tax dollars away to buy votes. He believed in the enterprising and industrious rugged individualism that has characterized the greatness of America since its early settlers.
Borrowing from Jesus Christ, Reagan described his vision of America as that shining city on a hill. Indeed, Jesus said in Matthew 5:14, "Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid." In 1630, John Winthrop told future Massachusetts colonists, "For we must consider that we shall be as a city upon a hill. The eyes of all people are upon us. So that if we shall deal falsely with our God in this work we have undertaken... we shall be made a story and a by-word throughout the world." I believe we are still that light, that shining city even though we have dealt falsely with our God in this work. And we have lost our nation for a time. By turning back to God, we can revive our nation and heal our land.

The Great American Revival of the 21st Century
Americans need to understand something--that we are in a war for our very own survival. And that there are many fronts on this war. One front is Islamic aggression--either through terrorist acts, the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan or by colonization here stateside. Another front is from Mexico, where that nation is encouraging its people to come to America illegally and colonize it in order to repatriate formerly held Mexican territories. Still another front is the Marxist attempt to demoralize and destabilize our nation from within--it is an attack on the economy, the morals, the education, the religion and the freedoms held in the US Constitution.
It would seem that we as Americans have lost our bearing. Usurping the Law for Personal Gain and Political Power
The mayor of San Francisco has said that San Francisco should not do business with Arizona because of the state's new illegal alien law. The Columbus Dispatch reports that Columbus Mayor Michael Coleman is banning city workers from traveling to Arizona on government business. Coleman's spokesman says the mayor "agrees with those who want to send a message to the state of Arizona that this not the American way." The mayor's ban does not extend, however, to the Arizona company that owns and operated some 20 red light cameras in Columbus or the purchase of 20 more of the money generating devices--must be the American way getting in the way.
It already has been documented that senior officials in the administration of the man who occupies the Oval Office are condemning the bill, but have not read it. They claim that it is un-American to protect the borders of this country if it means that people have to prove they are here legally. The motivation for crying foul for the elected Democratic officials throughout the nation is clearly vote buying over national security concerns. The entire amnesty concept is that the poor class of illegal aliens entering the United States will become so dependent on government entitlements that they will always vote for the political party that keeps the spigot open on the flow of taxpayer funded milk and honey.
The leftists that refuse to secure America's borders claim their belief is based in the Bible interpreted as social justice. They say the Bible says to treat strangers with love. There are over 120 mentions of how to deal with "strangers", also interpreted as "aliens," in the Bible. Using quotes from the Bible, naïve evangelical Christians are buying into the dogma that illegal immigration is Biblical. They quote verses like Leviticus 19:34, "But the stranger that dwells with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and you shall love him as yourself." But they conveniently ignore that the Lord, in instructing how to treat aliens in the Bible, repeatedly commands that the aliens embrace and live by the laws of nation.
Exodus 12:49 says, "One law shall be to him that is home born, and unto the alien that sojourns among you." Leviticus 19:26 says, "You shall therefore keep my statutes and my judgments, and shall not commit any of these abominations; neither any of your own nation, nor any alien that sojourns among you." Leviticus 24:22 says, "You shall have one manner of law, as well for the alien, as for one of your own country: For I am the Lord your God." There are many more such references. It appears that requiring people to be in America legally is repulsive to liberal office holders. It makes one wonder who among them has usurped the laws of the nation to get where they are and to stay there.

State Department Apologizes To China For US Human Rights Issues
The State Department's Assistant Secretary for Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor Michael Posner met in China last week with Chinese officials about human rights. According to Jon Huntsman, the US Ambassador to China, the White House wants to push Beijing for human rights changes, but it also needs Chinese support on difficult global issues. So the man who occupies the Oval Office sent Posner to apologize to the Chinese for America's violation of human rights visa vi the Arizona border protection law in order to get the Chinese on board with the White House foreign policy agenda. This apology was revealed by Posner in a State Department briefing on the human rights dialogue with China on May 14.
In response to a question about whether the Arizona immigration law was raised in the discussions, Posner answered, "We brought it up early and often. It was mentioned in the first session and as a troubling trend in our society, and an indication that we have to deal with issues of discrimination or potential discrimination. And these are issues very much being debated in our own society." So the Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights and Labor used the Arizona immigration law as a mea culpa on America's human rights record. This law, designed to secure Arizona's borders--something the federal government is unwilling to do--is supported by over 60% of all Americans.
But wait, there's more. Assistant Secretary of State PJ Crowley told Fox News that the Arizona immigration law is likely to lead to racial profiling and discrimination. But Crowley says that he has not read the law. In addition, administration critics of the immigration law, Attorney General Eric Holder and Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, have also admitted they have not read the law. Yet both of them are outspoken that it will lead to racial profiling and discrimination. Section 2 of the law states, "A law enforcement official may not solely consider race, color or national origin. A person is presumed not to be an alien who is unlawfully present."
That the US Government would even begin to suggest that America's civil and human rights can be remotely compared with that of China's is deplorable. Even worse is the admission that the US side raised the issue. And even worse is that top White House officials have not even read the Arizona law they so harshly criticize. How can protecting America's borders be equivocated with Chinese human rights--a nation that persecutes Christians, uses slave labor and ranks a close second to Islam in just basic vile treatment of human beings? 2 Timothy 3:13 says, "Evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived." How long shall we suffer this present deception?

Coincidence or prophecy: White House pressure on Israel and disasters for America
Let's take an inventory of catastrophic events of late. On April 4 there were 41 people shot and four killed in 26 hours in Chicago. The West Virginia coal mine disaster on April 5 claimed over two dozen lives. The April 21 explosion on the oil rig killed 11 people and is still a mounting disaster. The IMF Global Financial Stability report on April 25 indicated the European Union was in a deep financial crisis. In April, there was also flooding in Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, North Dakota, Rhode Island and Delaware. Floods ravaged Nashville and Memphis Tennessee the week of May 1. The volcano in Iceland on May 11 delayed flights and disrupted weather patterns around the world.
On March 9, Vice President Joe Biden visited Israel. At the same time, Israel's Interior Ministry announced there would be 1,600 new housing units built in East Jerusalem. The White House took great offense to this announcement, although Biden was in Israel to pressure its leadership to restart peace talks with the Palestinians. Palestinian spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeineh responded by telling reporters, "The American administration must respond to this provocation with actual measures, as it is no longer possible to just turn the other cheek, and massive American pressure is required in order to compel Israel to abandon its peace-destroying behavior."
Since that day, the man who occupies the Oval Office and his administration have embarked on a blistering reprisal toward Israel. The week of March 22 found Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Washington where there were many meetings with the White House. The White House was pressuring Netanyahu to put Jerusalem on the negotiating table. This prompted Netanyahu to say that "Jerusalem is not a settlement. It's our capital." Israel Today reported the White House was trying to topple the Netanyahu government. Since then, the White House has added pressure, even making Netanyahu leave the White House through the back door by the garbage.
God's word is very clear on Israel and the nations. In Genesis 12:2-3, the Lord says to Abraham, "And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: and I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed." About 1,500 years later, the message of the Lord through Zechariah had not changed. Zechariah 12:3: "And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of earth be gathered together against it." Coincidence or prophecy: White House pressure on Israel and disaster for America?

The Prophetic Curse of the Money Changers
With all the allegedly smart people running the economies of many countries, why do you suppose there is a worldwide financial crisis? There is likely only one nation that doesn't seem to be in some sort of financial problem among the more sophisticated economies of the world--China. China, however, uses slave labor, and unfortunately, the United States is its biggest trading partner--buying products provided by an immoral and unjust government. But right down the line--Germany, Great Britain, France, Italy, Greece, Denmark, and so on are all having economic crisis. And the United States is chief among them. It is the result of highly motivated socialists making their move toward the one world order.
The financial collapse of the nations must occur for there to be a one world order. And those bringing about these financial ruins are doing it on purpose by using someone else's money to line their own pockets, the pockets of their friends, and the pockets of their supporters. And that someone else's money is yours and mine, and any other law abiding citizen living in any of these nations. The plan is to create two classes of people--a vast majority of the world population that is poor, and a handful of wealthy people. Both classes will be controlled by the politicians who have become so powerful that the rich will do as they say to keep from losing everything, and the poor will submit because they have no resources to fight.
Jeremiah 15:10 says, "I have neither lent on usury, nor men have lent to me on usury; yet every one of them doth curse me." Americans have been cursed by their leaders who are leveraging their power and citizen's money to destroy America for their own benefit. America's Founding Fathers rejected outright democracy because, as 18th century historian Alexander Tytler put it, "A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the majority discovers it can vote itself largess out of the public treasury." The checks and balances written into America's Constitutional Republic have been usurped because citizens have shirked their responsibility to hold leaders accountable.
Thomas Jefferson said, "I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around [the banks] will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs." It is high time America's Christians rise up and take back this country before these ungodly usurpers fold it into the one world order of the antichrist.

US Government setting stage for prophetic apocalyptic economy
Revelation 13:16-17 says of the antichrist: "And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name." Revelation 6:5-6 speaks of the third of four horsemen of the Apocalypse. "And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a denarius, and three measures of barley for a denarius; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine."
Research would indicate that a measure of wheat would cost about 15 cents on today's market. But in the scenario presented by the rider of the black horse in Revelation, a measure of wheat would cost about $2.20 cents. A bushel of wheat would cost over $70 in Revelation. A loaf of bread, by many estimates would cost about $20, but that is estimated in a day's wages from Biblical times. That being the case, a loaf of bread may cost about $60 in today's minimum wage. Revelation does not say that food is necessarily scarce, but refers to its cost. The supply may be curtailed by disaster or regulated by government. In either case, one cannot buy or sell without the mark of the beast.
We have to question as to how all this occurs and what foundation is laid to make it all work. Today, the federal government of the United States has taken legal authority over all health care. In addition, the federal government is moving toward taking over control of the nation's food supply. WorldNetDaily reports that the Department of Justice argued on behalf of the Food and Drug Administration in a trial in Iowa Federal Court that citizens "do not have a fundamental right to obtain any food they wish." Indeed, the US House of Representatives has passed legislation that requires all food to pass through a facility registered with the government. It is waiting Senate approval.
This means that unless the farm where you buy your fresh vegetables alongside the road is registered and controlled by the government, you are buying illegal contraband. The United States is becoming the leader in setting the stage for the one world order of the antichrist. The economic policies are designed to saddle citizens with insurmountable debt so they must pledge themselves to a government for relief. The government is taking over health care. The government is taking over control of the food supply. Yet, we are the only government in the world whose people have a say in how they are governed. We cannot stop the march of prophecy, but we can determine our place in it. Christians must stand or we all will submit.

But in the scenario presented by the rider of the black horse in Revelation, a measure of wheat would cost about $2.20 cents. A bushel of wheat would cost over $70 in Revelation. A loaf of bread, by many estimates would cost about $20, but that is estimated in a day's wages from Biblical times. That being the case, a loaf of bread may cost about $60 in today's minimum wage. Revelation does not say that food is necessarily scarce, but refers to its cost. The supply may be curtailed by disaster or regulated by government. In either case, one cannot buy or sell without the mark of the beast.
We have to question as to how all this occurs and what foundation is laid to make it all work. Today, the federal government of the United States has taken legal authority over all health care. In addition, the federal government is moving toward taking over control of the nation's food supply. WorldNetDaily reports that the Department of Justice argued on behalf of the Food and Drug Administration in a trial in Iowa Federal Court that citizens "do not have a fundamental right to obtain any food they wish." Indeed, the US House of Representatives has passed legislation that requires all food to pass through a facility registered with the government. It is waiting Senate approval.
This means that unless the farm where you buy your fresh vegetables alongside the road is registered and controlled by the government, you are buying illegal contraband. The United States is becoming the leader in setting the stage for the one world order of the antichrist. The economic policies are designed to saddle citizens with insurmountable debt so they must pledge themselves to a government for relief. The government is taking over health care. The government is taking over control of the food supply. Yet, we are the only government in the world whose people have a say in how they are governed. We cannot stop the march of prophecy, but we can determine our place in it. Christians must stand or we all will submit.

Of God's Hand and Ear; Of a Nation Separated from Righteousness
America is in a heap of trouble and she will not survive unless Christian Americans begin asserting themselves aggressively into society with the gospel of Christ. If there were ever a time in our nation's history where the balance of evil is tipping the scales in its favor, it is now, today, this time. The very foundation of this nation--the rule of law, the rights endowed every human by God as outlined by the Founding Fathers, the liberty to even be a Christian, the freedom to speak your opinion, the ability to act with free will as a Christian--is being torn apart as Christians stand by debating differences on issues God has already determined--homosexuality, life of the pre-born, the only path to heaven, and more.
Did you know: the deficit has grown four hundred percent since April 2009; that the president has nominated a homosexual socialist to the Supreme Court; that America, not Israel, is negotiating with terrorists over Israel's future; the federal government is trying to take over control of the food supply; you will be forced to buy government run health care and your care will be rationed by the government; your tax money supports the abortion industry; the current nominee for the Supreme Court seeks to "redistribute" religious free speech, especially in referencing God's position on homosexuality; the government has incurred over $40,000 in debt for every man, woman and child in America?
Isaiah 59 describes the condition of America. Verses 1-4: "Behold the Lord's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear. For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness. None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity." Verse 7: "Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood: their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in their paths."
As a Christian, you may take offense and say, "I have done all I can do and most assuredly, I do not support these things." And this may be true from the innermost of your heart. However, all of us are guilty. Our money supports these terrible things. Oh, then you say, "Render unto Caesar..." But in THIS nation, we the people are responsible for our government. Also, our inaction supports these things against God and this country. Prayer only does not satisfy action. Writing letters does not satisfy action. Moving hearts to the truth of Christ is real action. Our only hope for this nation is to change hearts with the light of Christ. We must restore the Truth, that righteousness may enter.

America Races Into Prophetic Warnings of Destruction; Russia Accelerates the Times
As the White House is pressuring Israel to give up its traditional lands of Judea and Samaria, a ribbon of land cutting across Israel connecting them with Gaza, and East Jerusalem as a national capital to the Palestinian Authority, Russia and North Korea are working to arm Iran and its vassal state Syria with weapons of mass destruction. Russian President Dmitry Medvedev met with the Hamas terrorist leader Khaled Meshal and Syrian president Bashar Assad in Damascus to discuss Russia's involvement with the terrorists and the terrorist sponsoring Syrian leader to open the doors to more political cooperation as well as to the possibilities of providing nuclear power to Syria as Russia has done with Iran.
At the same time, Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman said that North Korea is supplying Syria, Hamas and another terrorist group, Hezbollah, with weapons of mass destruction. AFP reported that Lieberman said, "The cooperation between Syria and North Korea is not focused on economic development and growth but rather on weapons of mass destruction." AFP reported that Lieberman said Syria intended to pass the weapons on to the Lebanese Hezbollah militia and to the Islamic Hamas movement, which rules Gaza and has its political headquarters in Damascus, Syria. Iran and Syria are encircling Israel with the help of Russia, North Korea and China.
Analyst Daniel Greenfield wrote for the Israel Insider, "Like Carter before him, [sic] the president has chosen to cut backdoor deals with the Mullahs in Iran, offering them power over Iraq and Afghanistan, in exchange for quieting things down enough to let him hang up a Mission Accomplished banner and pull the troops out. "Peace with honor", preferably before the next election. The rape law for Shiites in Afghanistan, the push for a US funded Hamas/Fatah Unity government in the territories and the rising expansion of the Taliban are all fruits of this arrangement. If Iran is to be our new best friend under this arrangement, Israel is to be our new best enemy."
There are many who do not believe the Zechariah 12:3 prophecy that all who burden themselves with Jerusalem "will be cut in pieces, though all the people of earth be gathered against it." Throughout the Old Testament, the Lord God gave his people ample opportunity to turn from their worldly, wicked and pagan ways to avoid judgment. All the while, things worsened in hope that they would turn back to Him. Look at America--on the brink of financial ruin due to politicians spending money they don't have; Islamic terrorists attacking from within; natural and manmade disasters cost trillions. All the while America's leadership races headstrong into the prophetic warnings of destruction.

The Prophetic Significance of the Kagan Supreme Court Nomination--Separation from God
The least credentialed president of the past 60 years has tagged the least credentialed candidate for a Supreme Court nomination in history. Elena Kagan has no judicial experience; no paper trail on opinions on important issues; has a disdain for the US Military and is passionately on board with the homosexual agenda--that should be enough for any self respecting Christian American to take to the streets in protest. It should be enough for any self respecting American to demand in the strongest possible terms that this president respect the people enough to appoint a Supreme Court justice whose qualifications reflect the values of the American people rather than some romantic view of communist utopia.
While all the media will be hailing Kagan's charismatic and engaging personality, her so-called "moderate" viewpoints and her "clean slate" record, there is one person who has already stood with a firm grasp on the reasoning this man has chosen Kagan. Constitutional Attorney and co-author of the new best seller, "The Blueprint: Obama's Plan to Subvert the Constitution and Build and Imperial Presidency" Ken Klukowski says the man who occupies the Oval Office needs Kagan on his Supreme Court to advance his leftist agenda. Klukowski writes, "... make no mistake: Elena Kagan is a liberal-a brilliant, young, charismatic liberal-and [sic] he picked her because he needs her on the Court."
Klukowski says that the man in the White House "needs a Supreme Court that will rule that the Constitution allows the federal government to impose [sic] socialized health care's individual mandate, ordering Americans how they must spend their own money. He needs a Supreme Court that will allow him to impose job-killing cap-and-trade and card-check rules through executive action, instead of legislation. He needs a Supreme Court that says you have a right to same-sex marriage-which the Constitution does not mention-but that you do not have a right to own a gun-which the Constitution explicitly mentions in the Second Amendment."
Klukowski says that much of the White House agenda is unconstitutional and that "It cannot survive unless he creates a Supreme Court in his own image, with justices who share his vision." The Bible in many places calls the Lord God the "habitation of justice." It is in God's law that America's Constitution was birthed. Without God's tenets of justice etched upon the hearts of those who would judge, the laws by which we live become dynamic, constantly changing to fit social values. Under this White House and its appointment, the situation in Isaiah 59:14 may come to pass: "And judgment is turned away backward, and justice stands afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter." We are separated from God.
