White House betrayal of Christianity worldwide
In the nation building business in Iraq, Afghanistan, Egypt, Gaza, Libya, and others, one of the stated main objectives of the current and immediate past White House occupants was to establish Constitutional religious freedom and the protection of human rights. It has cost America over $1.2 trillion and more that 6,300 American lives to help Afghanistan and Iraq establish Sharia Law constitutions that contain religious freedom language. America has spent billions more on elections that handed Gaza to terrorists, and assisted in overthrowing governments in Egypt and Libya in the name of human rights and religious freedom The result: genocide, persecution, and destruction of Christians in these nations.
Yes, nearly every constitution approved by these Islamic states has religious freedom requirements. But they are governed by Sharia Law, meaning that people have the freedom to choose Islam, Judaism, or Christianity. But under Sharia there are extreme consequences if Judaism or Christianity are chosen. That America's leadership willfully ignores this very fact is an egregious betrayal of the Christian majority in the United States. The establishment of Sharia in Iraq and Afghanistan signed the death warrant for the Christian Church there. In Egypt, Christians are systematically being persecuted, maimed and killed by the new democratic, yet Sharia-biased, leadership. Libya promises total Sharia.
Muslims in Egypt are killing Coptic Christians, or Egyptian Christians, by the dozens. Believing they were to see true religious freedom after decades of persecution, Coptic Christians (their beliefs are similar to Greek Orthodox and they are among the earliest Christians in Egypt dating back to the first century AD) at first embraced the "democratic" changes. But now they are finding that White House ally the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood have allowed exponentially more persecution by Islamists. Vatican radio reports the Iraqi Christian population has declined from 800,000 to less than 150,000 due to Islamic attacks and religious intolerance. Christians are moving to safe zones in Northern Iraq to avoid persecution.
The State Department's 2010 International Religious Freedom Report says in Afghanistan "There is no longer a public Christian church." Additionally, the report says, the government's level of respect for religious freedom has declined, "particularly for Christian groups and individuals." American blood is being spilled that others have human rights and religious freedom, but our government is supporting the opposite. Isaiah 59:7 says, "Their feet run to evil, and they make hast to shed innocent blood: their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in their paths." Our government is a product of its people. The Christian Church in America must quit playing church and fear God.
Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!
