Of Prophetic fruits and Political fruits

On August 18, 2005, Israeli settlers were forcibly removed from their homes in Gaza by Prime Minister Ariel Sharon. Sharon was acting under tremendous pressure from US President George W. Bush. Less than four months later Sharon suffered a stroke and remains in a coma. It was during that mid-August time frame that what would become the deadliest American hurricane in 77 years was forming. At the same time homosexuals in New Orleans were planning a large rally. Hurricane Katrina slammed into the US coast on August 25 and left some 1,836 deaths in its wake. The news media blistered Bush on his lack of response to the people who suffered and died from Katrina.

Fast forward to today. The current president has placed continued pressure on Israel to return to indefensible 1967 borders and give the rest of the land to hostile Arabs and terrorists in the name of peace. In his arrogance, he has publicly sided with Islam and Islamic revolution throughout the Middle East in making it US policy to overthrow governments there in the name of reform. As in Egypt, democracy ushered in control by the previously banned Muslim Brotherhood, another terrorist group, now supported by the White House. During this time frame, tornados and floods have covered the United States in record numbers. Floodwaters have been so deep that the Mississippi River flowed backwards.

The president, has denied federal disaster assistance to Texas. The president did not carry Texas in the 2008 election. He has diverted flood waters of the Mississippi away from Cairo, Illinois, population 2,831, by opening levees that flooded thousands of acres of farmland in states he did not carry. Cairo, in the president's home state, voted heavily for him in 2008. Now comes the disaster in Joplin, Missouri. A horrible tornado has destroyed the town of 50,150 people with another 124,000 living in the greater metropolitan areas. There have been 116 reported deaths with more expected. Only 33% of Jasper County, where Joplin is, voted for the president in 2008.

Where is the president while the midwest is suffering this horrible time of disaster, of which most there did not vote for him? He is in Ireland partying. There are two issues here: One is the very confirmable fact that every time a president pressures Israel to give up its land, there has been disaster in America. The second is that this president is partying while his nation is suffering, and those areas where people voted for him like Cairo are receiving better treatment than those who voted for his opponent (the entirety of states below Illinois along the Mississippi). Jesus told us in Matthew 7:14 about the ravening wolves in sheep's clothing. He said, "Ye shall know them by their fruits." Indeed.

Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!
